IN A LIFE IN WHICH I'VE SEEN AND HEARD MANY CREEPY THINGS, IT TAKES A LOT OF MAKE THE HAIR ON THE BACK OF MY NECK STAND UP, but now I am officially creeped out. I admit I haven't given too much thought to Michael Schiavo's lawyer, George Felos. I wrote him off as simply another cell in the vast pond scum that covers the surface of what is called "the legal profession." Then a passing comment at another site caused me to search out his book. I found it first on Amazon, but the reviews there were suspect so I decided I couldn't form an opinion from those. Then I went to the site of his "publisher," Blue Dolphin, reasoning that they would put forward Felos' book in the best possible light. Perhaps they do. Here's the top quote on the page, Litigation as Spiritual Practice (Blue Dolphin Publishing)
Such a deep, dark, silent blue. I stared as far into her eyes as I could, hoping to sense some glimmer of understanding, some hint of awareness. The deeper I dove, the darker became the blue, until the blue became the black of some bottomless lake. "Mrs. Browning, do you want to die ... do you want to die?" I nearly shouted as I continued to peer into her pools of strikingly beautiful but incognizant blue. It felt so eerie. Her eyes were wide open and crystal clear, but instead of the warmth of lucidity, they burned with the ice of expressionlessness.Got that? Did you grok the black of the bottomless lake of shameless shyster's drooling lunacy? In my ignorance, I had supposed that you needed to demonstrate higher rational functions to be admitted to the Florida Bar. Ah, such a fool am I.
Just in case that purple gem of putrid prose didn't convince you, here's another paragraph from the excerpt Blue Dolphin proudly displays:
The crew of the Enterprise, beset in one episode by all types of strange maladies, discovered that they were infected by invisible parasitic creatures attached to their bodies. The creatures were unseeable because they existed in another phasic dimension. They occupied the same space and time, but at a different vibrational level. With the benefit of a hand-held "multi-phasic viewing device" constructed by our heroes, they could press a button and observe the creatures on their skin. Release the button and they were gone. Intuitive seeing is somewhat like that for me. A transparent image exists and is there, and then it's not. While extremely subtle, it is also undeniably real.I'll leave it to more erudite Treksters to parse out that pound of pap. ( "Call for Lil-eks, Jay-ames!" ) Others may also dwell on the fact that this is the legal mind that has helped Judge Greer form his conclusions and issue his orders.
Me? I've just got to take a shower.

UPDATE: But wait! There's more! And it is even more bizarre and creepy.
"As these unprocessed experiences entered my throat, I often felt absolute, unimaginable terrorlike I was being murdered, hacked to bits. One time I could actually feel a long blade plunging into my chest; another time I could smell the dank, putrid odor of an attacker. Other dark cells brought on indescribably intense grief and its accompanying pain, as if a beloved child of mine were dying.FromExcerpts from Litigation as Spiritual Practice by George Felos (Blue Dolphin Publishing, 2002) -- with a bit of axe-grinding in between, but not so much that you can't follow this unique "spiritual odyssey."
UPDATE 2: Deeper down the rabbit hole. If you'd like to experience this Felos "mind" first hand you can get it to come and speak to you for a mere $10,001. Yes, that's ten thousand and one (minimum). So if you've got a speaking slot coming up that would be improved by having the number one wacko shyster-for-death in the USA prattle, call Eagles Talent Connection at 1-800-345-5607. Operators are standing by.
Sickening
This just gets more and more weird!
God save Terri!
The more I hear about Felos, the more I'm convinced of satan's role in the Shiavo case.
Does anyone have a link to the interview (or perhaps it's from his wacky book) where he claimed to "be on a mission from god" to legalize euthanasia? I read the article a while ago but didn't bookmark it.
I think we all know which "god" has been talking to Felos. (Hint: Muhammad, while churning out the automatic writings, wondered if he was demon possessed. With some encouragement from his wife he decided he was hearing from god, instead.)
I just went to the site.
Felos' book is endorsed by Neale Donald Walsh, author of Conversations with God.
Having read Walsh's antichristian, relativistic, irrational and illogical ramblings, I am left with no doubt as to who Felos' master is.
scary indeed...
Wow!! I need to see which water fountains lawyers drink from and avoid them at all costs!!
No wonder they compromise the largest groups of amoral, greedy ambulance chasers on the planet.
Not anymore. I just called and the recording says, "We're sorry, all our operators are dead."
(Note to Rio Lindans: This is a joke. Do not call the number.)
I have met other lawyes of Felos' type. They do not see the people in the case, he only sees himself. He is the crusader, he is going to make the change, he is going to make it happen. Even the cause does not matter as long as he is in the center.
They usually end up making matters worse.
Ellis Ruben falls in this category.

...remember what we said about the attorney?
People can put out short statements and still conceal who and what they are. But usually, when anyone puts out a nonfiction (allegedly) book, you get a neceszsary glimpse of the real person. That seems true here, and it isn't a pretty picture.

Your post falls into the latter category of your tagline!
The wife's fun, too. Check out her "holistic" commentary on "bringing a lawsuit with love":

Hahaha!...I know. I never claimed to be a member of one or the other!

And John Edwards could read the thoughts of the unborn. The beings we call "lawyers" are actually aliens with vast mental powers.
BTTT!
I wonder why this post isn't getting more attention?
