>>>What I don't understand is if she really is a Republican why was she selling pornography? She is either a hypocrite or not a Republican.>>>

I hate to inform you guys, but not all republicans are Conservative Christians.

I know this is a shock to you. Please place your head between your knees until the dizziness subsides.

I wouldn't say one ought to act indecently in public. But what I read at home is no one else's business. If I look at Playboy at home, I admit I read it for more than just the articles. >grin

PLAYGIRL Editor-in-Chief Outs Herself as Republican!
Tuesday March 8, 11:37 am ET

NEW YORK, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- When it comes to sex and politics, Democrats are the more liberal, right? Not so fast. PLAYGIRL editor-in-chief Michele Zipp explores the fun side of "down and dirty" politics and examines sexuality on both sides of the aisle. In the process she comes to a realization about herself and reveals for the first time she's now a Republican.

(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20030102/PLAYGIRLLOGO )

"Siding with the GOP when you live in the bluest state around is almost like wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey at a New York Yankees' home game," says Zipp in the April issue of PLAYGIRL. "I cannot tell you how many times a person assumed I voted for John Kerry in 2004. Most of the time, I don't have the heart to tell them, or the energy to discuss my reasons for going red this election year. But this is PLAYGIRL magazine so it's about time I was the one who bared what's underneath."

How could a member of the media who produces adult entertainment for women, advocating sexual exploration, fulfillment and adventure possibly side with conservatives from the red states? Zipp spells it out. "Those on the right are presumed to be all about power and greed -- two really sexy traits in the bedroom. They want it, they want it now, and they'll do anything to get it. And I'm not talking about some pansy-assed victory, I'm talking about full on jackpot, satisfaction for all."

"The Democrats of the Sixties were all about making love and not war while a war-loving Republican is a man who would fight, bleed, sacrifice, and die for his country. Could you imagine what that very same man would do for his wife in the bedroom?" asks Zipp. She takes on sexual politics with insight, conviction and a refreshing new spin.

Also in the April issue, PLAYGIRL'S Jamye Waxman sits down for a candid conversation with Candida Royalle, former porn star turned feminist, writer and director to chat about her new book, How To Tell a Naked Man What To Do. And take a crash course in the history of kissing, going back in time to medieval smooching and leading up to the great juicy ones of today. Plus, take our quiz and test your knowledge what "pucker up and blow" is really all about.

The April issue of PLAYGIRL hits newsstands nationwide on March 8, 2005.

PLAYGIRL TV is now available in many parts of the country. Contact your local cable or satellite provider to find out how to order.

PLAYGIRL is the thinking girl's guide to sensual exploration, erotic stimulation, and sexual liberation. Since launching in 1973, PLAYGIRL has always been the pioneer in women's adult entertainment, and it will continue to serve and grow with women as an indispensable tool for sexual fulfillment and awareness.

She's looking for some attention, that's for sure. The funny thing is that usually somebody in her situation comes out as a "9/11 Republican". She didn't.

Maybe she wants a job with the Weekly Standard or something, but she is enjoying the attention she's getting.

Perhaps in your view. Since I'm not a republican, I'll let you define what a good republican is.

She got fired from a frivoulous magazine because she admitted she was a Republican? Now that seems like grounds for an enormous lawsuit against the magazine - if it's true. I have my doubts.

I needed to post a little smiley or something. I was being funny. Making a point, but being funny. Not being ugly. Dang lack of inflection or wink of an eye in the written word.

And once again liberals prove the only people they're "tolerant" of is themselves. Creepy puffed up jerks.

What I don't understand is if she really is a Republican why was she selling pornography? She is either a hypocrite or not a Republican.

One can be a Republican and the editor of a risque magazine at the same time. How are the two inconsistent?

Isn't that a magazine for gay men?

Exactly what I was thinking: the backlash came from the predominantly gay "readership".

If you truly believe that and you are an employer I dare you to fire the first member of your staff you can find who's a Democrat. Do it, then get back to us on how that goes.

Exactly. Michele was the editor. She had a part in managing the content but it doesn't necessarily mean she shot the porn herself.

This is all the left can do in this country...liquidation of political enemies is not yet acceptable here (though the Shiavo case could start a trend).
