US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)

Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro

This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).

The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

This is American history happening before your eyes.

Hey, if it was his own wife you'd find Jim Moran ready to beat her to death with his own hands.

THe Dems, in general, are quite a smarmy bunch.

Jim Moran.....another P.O.S.

Your mom was probably in pain, and there was no hope. That's the situation my daddy was in last year, he had terminal cancer. It's OK, to let go, when there's no hope. This is NOT THE CASE WITH TERRI!!!!!!!

YOU, MR. MORAN, ARE THE ONE POLITICING HERE. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!

lawdude, what you said ---

"Since it is so humane, I suggest every state adopt death by withholding food and water as the punishment in capitol cases."

The key here, though, is that this is the next step: after they get the feeding tube removed, then they'll go into court and say she is suffering (no matter that they said she wouldn't) and we should be allowed to "assist" her with a lethal injection. That's next, you can bet on it.

Rep Davis from FL has announced he is running for Governor -- guess you could say he is the first candidate representing the Party of Death to say he is running.

I live in a red household on a blue street in a blue neighborhood in a blue city in a blue state. Unfortunately the leeches who make this place so blue wouldn't know who Terri Schiavo is unless her photo was on a pack of cigarettes, a welfare check or a scratch ticket.

;) Ouch.

Since it is so humane, I suggest every state adopt death by withholding food and water as the punishment in capitol cases.

The courts have ruled that putting a prisoner on short rations (the old "bread and water" punishment) is "cruel and unusual" punishment.

Likewise, since it is no loger cruel, animal shelters can save a lot of money putting dogs and cats down. No more drugs are needed. They can just let them starve to death if they are not adopted.

The stupid Dem also said that no doctor spouting opinions on this has examined her, missing the glaring fact that her husband won't let them.

Hello,

I feel exactly the same way. There are those that have amazed me with their coldness towards this sad and needless situation. Some of whom I had previously admired. Oh well...at least I know now.
Glad to be here, hope Terri continues to be here, MOgirl

Drudge is talking about the "memo" and how horrible the reps are to pretend to want to help Terri, when the memo shows it is all for polictical gain---

Why am I NOT surprised that there mysteriously seems to be a MEMO---hmmmmmmmmm, and that wouldn't be a set-up, would it?

If any of the Reps had seen the "polls" on the cable channels they WOULDN'T be doing this, because surprisingly, most of the polls show more Americans saying that Terri should be allowed to die---therefore, Sen. Frist and Delay and Sensenbrenner would be pretty STUPID for not only doing this, but circulating a memo BRAGGING about all the votes they will get in 2006--

yeah, right...
