Drudge is talking about the "memo" and how horrible the reps are to pretend to want to help Terri, when the memo shows it is all for polictical gain---

Why am I NOT surprised that there mysteriously seems to be a MEMO---hmmmmmmmmm, and that wouldn't be a set-up, would it?

If any of the Reps had seen the "polls" on the cable channels they WOULDN'T be doing this, because surprisingly, most of the polls show more Americans saying that Terri should be allowed to die---therefore, Sen. Frist and Delay and Sensenbrenner would be pretty STUPID for not only doing this, but circulating a memo BRAGGING about all the votes they will get in 2006--

yeah, right...

Who cares whether it is for political gain or not? I don't think their actions are purely politically motivated, though some political considerations may be playing a role. Even if they are, however, they're doing the right thing anyway.

If anything, the memo was in reaction to Peggy Noonan's column in Friday's WSJ. It was not some crass political plan, in my opinion.

I wondered who started that infamous memo. I can't help but get cynical - -sounds like something Rather, MacAwful, or maniac Dean would do. If any pubbies did it, shame on them, based on several things, including the polls you mentioned, I find it hard to believe they did (ok, maybe McPain, but, I think that's below even him).
