This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.

If I remember right the guy coming up is from the Tampa area -- Florida sure has more than their fair share of nutcases for Reps.
I loved the comment earlier by Rep King who talked about how bad the judges were in the 2000 election in Florida.
Anyone considering moving to Florida should find another state IMO.

The point came up from the last GOP speaker that the Dems had no such objection when this bill was passed the first time unananimously by voice vote.
Wouldn't be surprised of all $$$$ from the hospice deaths this precident could generate isn't motivating some, too...death palaces for fresh life, and inconvenient life, too...

Read up on the crooked folks in Pinellas County, the attorney Felos, the hospice in which Terri resides. This would have remained one of those sleazy little stories of backwater folks making a little money if it hadn't gone national with the outcry over Terri by her parents and other interested people.

Mom, I've got an uneasy feeling about this. They need to get 2/3 of those present to win this vote. C-SPAN never shows a wide shot of the chamber, so we don't know how many reps are there.
