US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)

Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro

This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).

The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

This is American history happening before your eyes.

The judicial brach was never supposed to be superior to the other branches of giv't.

$$$$

The party of Death are using the Judicial Branch as their personal majority. They are really exposing themselves for what they are - not democratic at all!

Michael Capuano of Massachusetts bloviating now.

"Stay out of my family!!!! " Nice soundbite, but totally irrelevant.

The water in Massachusetts is as bad as the water in Florida.

Funny how all these Death-To-Terry clowns forget that Terry's parents are her family too. The Death Lobby is so concered about rights. How about her Parents rights? THE Death Lobby can walk away any time and lose nothing, once Terry is murdered by the state, her parents have lost everything

"The dims wouldn't go along, so we have to wait for Monday (for the vote)."

Unbelievable. This is an exceptionally revealing weekend. It proves that political power means more to the DimocRATs than human life. That says it all about the sick, morally bankrupt DimocRAT party.

YOu know I am finally getting fed up with polls. Our President doesn't give a hoot about polls, and doing the right thing doesn't require approval of a poll.Thank God.

ps who ever is this dork on right now??

And if you put her slow demise on U.S. Pay-Per-View TV, that would probably bump up the percentage of Pro-Death Americans as well, too. Sick. That's about the rate it's going (if that poll's correct). Such a self-centered people. Such an impatient people. (At times).

Thank you for the post and the ping. I don't know how far Terri can recover, but for me, as long as she is comfortable and lovingly taken care of, that's fine. A human being isn't less of a human being because s/he isn't working or going to school or mowing the lawn. Each of us has inate human dignity. None of us should be starved and dehydrated when someone else decides we are less than fully human - this is especially egregious since we legally cannot do that to our own pets. I don't think anyone with a modicum of intelligence thinks or believes Terri ever intimated she wanted to be starved to death if she ever became incapacitated. Particularly since no one heard a thing about it until seven years after her initial injury... just after the money came in... coincidentally.

Anyhow as to the larger agenda... I believe you are sadly correct. Felos is a huge euthanasia proponant and this case has national stature. My 16 year old daughter wondered how MS was paying for all the attorneys... and I told her that I believe he was being financed by the elite euthanasia crowd, all you have to do is use common sense and connect the dots. MS is just a useful puppet, just like the Roe v. Wade ladies.

we will not have to worry about Social Security because we will not live long enough to collect it.

But just think how much easier it will be to calculate SS. You wouldn't have to estimate how long seniors would live. They get to a certain age and wammo times up......[/lib-think]

I think it is histerical that the party of "no controlling legal authority" is demanding respect for the law.

The party of "its only about sex not perjury" is arguing respect for the institutions.

This scott D is nuts, there is also the issue of abandonment. The judge is a mental midget.

HELLO MR SCOTT you are in a legislature NOT A COURTROOM if you want to be a lawyer the courthouse is down the street.

Tom DeLay waited until zero hour, with maximum media exposure, to trot out this bill.

They should have brought it forward sooner. But I'm not sure that's what you're saying. Somehow, I get the impression you're saying they shouldn't have brought it forward at all.

My grandparents were Dems. My parents used to vote Dem. My mother has stated she is glad her parents are not alive to see the party as it is today, and that was before terri. I stopped supporting them when I realized it was all about power. I knew they were morally deficient. I don't think I realized how evil they'd descended to.

That and the embarrassment that will follow when the civil suits fly, and all the info comes out- after Terri is killed.

Thanks for that info about Drudge and Terri's words. I missed it, but will listen to it if it is posted on his site. Cannot tear myself away from the House debates - this is fascinating.

You missed absolutely nothing from RINO Shays, except he hinted that he's far more of a RAT than I had feared. He's the only "Republican" I've heard tonight whose words really ticked me off... Will be interesting to see how he votes on this bill.
