L.A. Is a Den of Iranian Intrigue and Ambition
Anne-Marie O'Connor, Greg Krikorian and H.G. Reza, LA Times:
Roozbeh Farahanipour was jailed and beaten during student protests in Iran in 1999. Today, he sits in a cramped office above a Persian-language bookstore on Westwood Boulevard, speaking in low tones about the pro-Tehran "agents" he says still dog him.
Two years ago, after hostile men confronted his Iranian activist group at public forums, he walked downthe bustling avenue past Persian restaurants, Persian pop music vendors and the publisher of the 1,200-page Iranian Yellow Pages to the FBI office a few blocks away.
There, he said, U.S. agents pressed him for details on espionage and provocateurs.

I used to live in an apartment in North Hollywood. It was a singles apartment and there were several Iranian students that lived there.
The inbreads used to bar-b-que lambs in the middle of their living rooms.
And try as hard as possible to get laid by American weman.
Drink like fish and smell.
Odd. I don't think i've ever met a single Iranian in the US who doesn't dress to impress at all times, drive a BMW or Mercedes or another high end vehicle and hold an upper level graduate degree or seek to.
And smell bad?!? That's the oddest thing I've ever heard of Iranians ever. You sure they weren't Pakis or Indians?
Joe, what you describe sounds like some of the Pakistanis I knew at the U of Chicago.
I agree. Iranians like to dress first class and look like a million bucks. The love cologne.
But they are interested in the ladies.
