Official After-Action Thread: March 19 Fayetteville, NC Support Our Troops Rally
Freepers, lurkers and assorted patriots ^ | March 19, 2005 | Constitution Day

Posted on 03/19/2005 5:03:49 PM PST by Constitution Day

Today we met in Fayetteville, NC to Freep a motley rabble of socialists, anarchists, Code Pink-os, and other throwbacks to the 60's! As usual, we were well outnumbered by their hordes of college students, aging hippies and other bused-in protestors, but we held our own as always.

Please post any reports and observations on this thread only.

LOL....In SF we sometimes, stop the counter FReep, turn to the flag (we have many) and say the pledge of allegiance. Many of the leftist swine are befuddled what to do...

I was block estimating as well-(which admittedly I am not that great at) but still I think 3,000 sounds way to high. Were they counting the umbrellas and empty caskets in that number?? I parked across the street with no problem at about 1:00, which is after the event started.

I had to leave around 3:15- did anyone figure out what the hub-bub was with the all police about that time?

Anybody recognize this gentleman?

We said the Pledge of Allegiance and also sang the Star Spangled Banner at the start of our Freep.

I was told by one of the Rolling Thunder members that down where "the unwashed" had their rally, you could hear everything we said. Coooool. No wonder we really got to them.

Good catch with the pic. They escorted him up the street and then let him go. But I'm sure they told him to leave and not come back. He left.

Isn't that the one that thumped Burt on the hat? I was right beside them, and the guy immediately said, "You hit me!" These creeps were really mad about what Dr. Raoul was saying. I should have stayed out of the way ...

I had a lovely time meeting these wonderful fellow freepers! Dr. Raoul does a fabulous job at the mike, keeping a running commentary exposing the ideology, the manner and methodology of anti-Americans. (And YES, he did have some printouts from DISCOVERTHENETWORK.) ;> I was surprised by the amount of pressies to interview freepers -- much more than one ever sees at a San Francisco "protest-the-anti-American" and "pro-troops" events.

Kristinn was ready on the fly to meet with reporters, and doing it superbly.

The huge anti-Code Pink sign was a killer!

And yes, Medea Bejamin did come over to speak with me. And Yes, I really did chew that lefty out after he came after one of our wonderful vets, standing with us. All he could do was hurl ad hominems at me. lol, it was his "manhood" test and he lost. He acted like a domestic spouse abuser -- full of emotional and verbal abuse. And he is a representative of males on the left. I just don't see guys on the left as males, but as shemales, and so what they have to say never gets my heart changing pace at all. lol. I don't see them as full grown males.

One of the things I observed, when the lefties came over to pick fights? They always used the word "you fat..., fat a**, fat this, fat that". "Fat" is big to them. "Pork is big to them", obviously.

Another observation on the lefty protestors? I kept counting and recounting the crowds mass. By a majority the composite anti-military protestor were in the age groups of college kids and retired. College kids and retired (+ near retired).

Caught a number of their speakers. AT one point, their speaker on the stage was using profanities in regards our President of the United States. The crowds loved the profanities more than the message. Fascinating, sociologically speaking, to observe. Soon after, was when lefties came over to pick fights, to do their usual "I'm a "Ward Churchill Indian" and I'm Counting COUP on YOU" routine. Very typical of the left, this "counting coup" thing. They think it is like a test of their manhood, their liberal-hood: They just look stupid doing this. It is that patently obvious that some type of emotional retardation is resident within them -- that at some point they stopped "growing" emotionally. Emotionally stunted.

Counting Coup

I will say these anti-military, anti-American protestors are certainly tamer than the ones in San Francisco. Just a lot more "big" on the "fat" word and the "counting coup" thing.

Another composite I caught: Not too many middle-sized anti-Military Protestors. Either they were "large" or they were near "anemic". Not many in the middle.

The Fayetteville Police were excellent. They cracked me up. They did their jobs, and they did it well, IMHO. They worked hard to keep the anti-military people from regularly coming over to us.

The left screeches ad nauseum about the US INVADING THERE AND THERE; but they always want to invade conservative protests. Go figure, eh?

Truth is, our data, our signs were far more interesting. We had a new message, and the lefty side is stuck delivering the same trivia time and time again. Same methods, and almost word for word, year after year.

I watched at one point, as our side was focused on a tete-te with opponents, a young couple walking through our "turf". They got up to the street side, and high-fived each other. Like, duh, "coup" accomplished.

That's what always amuses me: The left does such a bang-up job speaking about what evil horrors we are, they terrify their own groupies. And so the groupies consider JUST coming near us to be like some major accomplishment. okeeyyyy....

I give this to the anti-military, anti-American protestors -- they sure know how to put a production-sized protest together -- after 40 years, they've gotten it down to quite a production. Big tents, seating, food vendors, big stage, live bands.

Where'd they get the funds?

But their message is the same. It's the same: "We hate America, we hate ourselves, and we hate all of you. Isn't this fantastic, this uber honesty?" And the listeners of these ideologues simply clap-clap their hands.

Wow. I've seen it soo many times over the years, and it never changes. The only thing I've observed changing over the past 4 years? Is the numbers of the anti-American protestors, these are dwindling.

And what did I find in the NC Freepers (and from other states)? Some truly bodacious and vital people. Filled with good intent, rock-solid knowledge, and the willingness to "engage". I did not sense any fear or trepidation in these Freepers. They knew exactly why they were here, who they were for, and the message they were on about.

Yes, Dr. Raoul's "brown acid" froze them in their solemn march down the street.

And, because THEY HAD TO BE POLICE SEARCHED PRIOR TO ADMITTANCE TO THE PARK (we did not; but then we do not do molotov cocktails, and Anarchy/Ruckus Antics, either), they were stuck, standing in the street while we sang our songs and chanted our chants. That one about the hug, and telling them to swim to Cuba cracked me up.

I did circulate word pre-protest among military pals. I was very clearly informed that they'd received the memo they were NOT to attend this event. Got that from 5 separate sources, different brigades/units.

However, lol. I did get to visit with some wonderful soldiers who never got the memo. And these fun guys moved quite easily throughout our side, and I observed them trekking through the anti-military side of the event. Definitely, taking notes.

How thoughtful of all these Freepers who brought food and snacks and meals to share, posterboards and pre-made signs, and tables, and PC-systems for the event. Very thoughtful and good planning! The children on our side of the aisle were so downright wonderful, delightful and well-behaved. These children are obviously well-loved and cherished. What delightful children you have, and brought to this event!

The official opening of "our event" begun with the Singing of the National Anthem, AQGeiger (hope I got that right) and daughter sang BEAUTIFULLY, and a wonderful young lady led us in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. The young ladies at this event are stunningly beautiful!

I'm just sorry we had to leave early before the close of the event. A pal has returned from Iraq, and we swung over to pick him up. He thought the details were a hoot! And he wanted to go. But it was already late. lol! Just back from Iraq and still wanting to kick some insurgent butt! This young man is wonderful: He never gives up.

I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to most of you, we were already running late. But to each of you -- what a pleasure! Let's do this again!

I missed some brawls but caught others. Looking forward to hearing about the parts of this event I missed!

I was told .. you could hear everything we said.

I agree. I walked among the unwashed in front of the stage last July.

Listening to their speakers then,Ted Sampley was quite annoying. :)

Actually, that was Tax-chick who sang the National Anthem.

You definitely don't want to hear me sing.

First, I must say that I had some fear and trepidation when I found myself face to face with the large dirty lefties. What was I thinking? ("Her last words were, 'Watch your mouth in front of the babies, creep!' ")

And secondly, I led the national anthem (a little screechy on the top notes) with help from the stunning TaxDeduction1. (Her hair color is natural, btw.)

Great report, Alia. Net-knight (my FReepless spouse) and I both enjoyed meeting you!

Ooops, forgot to say, the TaxDeductions, including the dazzling redhead, are TaxRelief and Huber's children. My numerous brood, including Pat, the police department's favorite, are the Tax-chickadees.

They both probably secretly love the comparison.
