Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
Yes, Terri did NOT need the feeding tube. It was inserted to make feeding her easier. So she could likely eat and drink by mouth if given the chance.
What did I say that was so outrageous? Too much for your sensitive mind? I don't get it?
I've long held off responding to certain outrageously, hideously wrong assertions made about Terri, and ad hominem attacks made on other posters here; but some of those comments tonight were the last straw for me.
But with your wise advice I'm going to knock off this thread. No more from me here.
I will go one on one with you.
Say good night, Hildy!
I'm outta here.
SHOW ME ONE. One thing I have said that has been venemous or untrue. The fact is I have been the one that has been attacked. Go ahead and show me one thing I've said. All day I've been posting articles and facts and links to sources more than anyone else on this board. So go ahead and show me or else keep your name calling to yourself.
You are a foolish person unable to defend your posts.
BTW Congressman DeLay is missing dinner with several hundred Galveston County, Texas Republicans tonight.
Have a nice, though uninformed life.
I am a disrupter? What have I done to disrupt anything? This is a public forum...did I miss something? Are we now the FREEREPUBLIC FORUM TO SAVE TERRI SCHIAVO AND THE REST OF YOU EVIL PEOPLE GO AWAY? Because if that's what we are, there's alot of people who will be suprised to hear that.
The anti-Terri posters have a transparent strategy on these threads.
It's been so blatantly obvious it's not even funny.
They come on a Terri thread right in the middle of it, and bait, bait, and bait.
They push someone too far, he/she goes a little overboard reacting,
someone hits the abuse button, and before you know it, the thread is pulled by the moderators.
I was on 2 threads that got pulled within minutes of each other, and the common denominator was a certain poster who will go unnamed.
I ain't going nowhere, Teddy.
There are many reasons to suspect the husband.
There is a bone scan where she had multiple broken bones that the husband in-name-only kept secret from the family for many years. The fact that Terri was planning to divorce Michael S. according to her friends. The fact that the friend she was out with the night of her collapse told her not to go home, but Terri said she would be alright that she would pretend to be asleep when Michael came home.
The fact that he didn't call 911 when she collapsed, but called Terri's father, who had to tell him to call 911, the fact that he did not give her CPR, even though he knew how, the fact that he told the jury how he would take care of Terri and use the jury award to provide rehabilitation for Terri, and then refused all rehabilitation for Terri, the fact that he "remembered" after the jury award that Terri wanted to die, the fact that he refuses to let her have basic health care like a gynecological exam or dental care, etc...
Ignore, ignore, ignore...
Best strategy in these circumstances.
You're right, after fifteen years, I do not think she can be saved. However now, for the 100th time I have said on many threads that absent a written consent Terri should be released to her parents providing they take care of her in their home with their money. But the law is being followed in this case. It's not like this was done in the dark of night. This case has been going on for years and the law has been followed. I believe you guys should take your energy and try to change the law, if that's what you think.
I expected the left, liberals, demonrats, etc to be death-lovers and worship at the alter of death. But what a real eye opener (simply shocking!) the past several days has been how so many prominent Freepers have cast their lot in with the enemy. This case seems to put a mind fog/trace over normally, clear headed, right thinking people. These Freepers will be the first ones to shout about the Constitution from the rooftops and yet have utterly no understanding that with LIFE, liberty means nothing.
Ronald Reagan understood this well. Some here who claim to walk in his path should be ashamed. Personally, I'm not shocked why we are not winning on more issues when so many can become so fuzzy headed and be siding with our enemies, i.e. arrogant, judicial hacks (Greer), adulterous, lying scumbags (Micheal), EVIL lawyers (Felos), god-less euthanasia proponents, etc, etc. What a sad day in Freeperdom.
Some of them couldn't get flights back to the Capitol in time for a morning meeting. Here in Middle America flights to DC are not set up to be there early in the morning and why our Congressional people usually travel at night. Call didn't go out until it was too late to get flights.
You know the rules. When speaking of another poster, make sure you ping that poster.
Well said.
I can't help thinking there may be some projection going on with some posters. They may have pulled the plug on a loved one at one time in a similar situation, and don't like to think that their decision may have been a selfish one.
Nonsense. The feeding tube was placed shortly after her admission after her original collapse, while she was still in the hospital. It has been there ever since, with the exception of the two times it was pulled as a result of Court order.
