The president selected Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz as his choice for World Bank* president; held a news conference; named Kevin Martin to be the new FCC Chairman; and met with Lebanese Patriarch Cardinal Pierre Nasrallah Sfeir in the Oval Office.
As oil prices continue to rise, the president's push for oil drilling in Alaska met with a yes vote in the Senate today.
Secretary of State Rice is in Asia.
