Some white students at a South Jersey Catholic school walked out of classes Tuesday in protest over a speech by the New Jersey Secretary of State Regina Thomas.
Tensions have been building up at Paul VI High School since Thomas' speech on racial justice last week.

Actually the idiot that put it in the locker should.
"I have too. In fact my son was pulled from his car after being surrounded by police, thrown on the pavement and had a gun to his head because he resembled someone else driving the same type of vehicle.
I'm white and yes it happens to us too."
Yes, I have been pulled over and approached ant gunpoint because my car and I matched a description. I have also been followed in stores and treated like dirt by punk register jockeys. But I don't assume its because I'm white. I figure its because I'm so good looking. :-}
I remember a clown in HR of a now defunct Corporation trying the old nonsense that only white are capable of racism because blacks had no power. I left that company pretty soon thereafter.
Since Robert Byrd is from a state with few blacks, he may have joined the KKK more from anti-Catholic bigotry than from anti-black racism.
"What color is the sun on your planet?" The same as it is for all hypocritical racists.

And yet like most African-Amercians, her (Alicia Keys) relationship with America is complex.
The country that once enslaved her, that costitutionally considered her three fifths of a human, that just forty years ago barred her from white schools and drinking fountains and kept her from the voting boots, now demands patriotism.
That can be a hard shift. (My comment: Uh huh, especially since she's younger than thirty...)
"All day I see everyone rockin' flags in they hats and on the streets, and I'm torn," she says.
"I look at that flag and I'm not able to completely go there for some reason.
I see lies in that flag.
I can't suddenly be all patriotic.
But this is about human life beyond any country of flag.
That's why it makes me feel so strange.
Because I'm so torn and there's so many layers involved."
I remember that interview. I think it's complete BS. She has to throw that bone to people otherwise, they'd be calling her another white girl trying to sing black just like Mariah Carey.
And what of your post 24?
What's that make you?
I'm a racist....Hey Cyborg...this clown (who posted that the only racism in America is against white people) thinks I'm a racist!
Sometimes you just gotta shake your head.
Besides Alicia Keyes slums in the ghetto with the type of people she hangs out with. I saw an interview with her on MTV2 once and I was really shocked. She's really beautiful. It's so sad IMHO but imagine if her mom let her run the street when she was younger.
odoso I've met wtc911 personally and can tell you he's not racist. There's lots of white-on-white racism look at Nick Scarpetta. All he needs to do is wear an orange tie like John Gotti did to spite his prosecutor.

Think about that for a while.
** I don't need to. I've experienced the other side of racism before. I wouldn't compromise myself to fit in. I've certainly paid a price for that stance in the past, but I'm in my early thirties and have seen my decisions bear fruit. I know exactly what's behind that sort of double speak and compromising though. It's all has to do with Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the most important need to belong.
I'm an ex-chicago native. I'm surprised you're still alive.
Odoso doesn't have a problem with what was said in post 102.
What's that tell you?
You're right in theory but in reality deaf school attendees have been so coddled by low expectations that they're churning out 18 year olds that can't read. ASL plays a role in there too... By definition it can't be put to paper so reading is extremely noninituitive compared to other languages. Very complex situation that boils down to: it's the liberals' fault. As usual. ;)
No. I'm speaking of big D Deaf people. Because, you know, the accompolishments those uppity oral "deaf" people like Heather Whitestone don't count.
Whew! Can you diagram that sentence? ;-)

'overly confrontational and unprofessional speech'
