CHICAGO, March 14 (UPI) -- A judge has doubled the $800 monthly child support payments of a Chicago doctor who claims the mother stole his sperm and impregnated herself. DNA testing proved Richard Phillips is the father of a 5-year-old girl he has never met.
Phillips is suing Sharon Irons, an Olympia Fields physician, in a civil lawsuit that claims the pair never had sexual intercourse. Phillips says Irons betrayed a trust when she "harvested" his sperm after oral sex and became pregnant, the Daily Southtown newspaper said.
The pair had a brief relationship in 1999. Irons said she and Phillips had sex and that she got pregnant "the old-fashioned way." Judge Luciano Panci temporarily doubled Phillips' child support to $1,600 a month and ordered the couple to negotiate details of the paternity case.
Philips said he plans to seek joint custody of the daughter and begin visitation.
Makes me think of the old sperm bank joke.
I guess this is why Bill Clinton preferred to 'finish up in the sink'.
If I were him, I'd seek SOLE CUSTODY and prove that her mother was UNFIT to raise a child.......
Gee, I wonder if he will have any say in how his $1,600 will be spent on the child.
The biological father is doing the right thing despite the circumstances. I imagine he'd be a better parent than the mother, based on her level of deception.
arghgh!
Does this mean that men no longer enjoy a reasonable expectation that we will not become fathers during this particular sex act? What if she "harvested" (YUK!!!) it from some other place?
No, with child support the father (or mother) whomever is the payor has no say at all in how the money is spent nor are they even allowed to question it. At least that's how it worked in CT where I paid it for years.
Just one more reason men like women who swallow....
There is the possibility that he had intercourse with the woman, and dreamed up a scenario in an effort to avoid his parental obligations. I don't know if that's the case -- but who does?
My own opinion: foolin' around can get you in trouble, unless you are married to the person you are fooling around with. And even then, you're not entirely safe ...
Lost fortunes.
Jeez louise!
"This is just wrong."
What a sad life for the child. She ends up with two loser parents. I have no sympathy for either adult.
"H-wo...Mi'd wike to mmmake a deposit!"
Ingestion is the best prevention.
"Mommy where did I come from?" "Well it's like this,......
You don't believe this guy do you?
Yep
