This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Bullets kill flesh. Words kill the spirit. You kill a persons spirit, what good are they. Might as well be dead! Obviously not, since you're still posting.
You have a choice about whether to be 'wounded' by words. That option doesn't exist for bullets.
I'll leave it at that, since Friday isn't my day for dumb arguments.

Guy on the phone with FNC just said the decision to tie the tubes of that woman was the RECOMMENDATION of the DA and the defense attorney agreed with it.
The judge didn't make it onhis own which makes lily's rant look just that much more ignorant.

I don't necessarily agree with her, but I believe she has the right to say it. What "right" would that be?
Part of living in a civilized society requires a modicum of self-control over one's own mouth. When she decided to be crude and insensitive about the death of another human being...not once, by twice (after having been warned by the mods)...she proved she NEEDS to be controlled by others.
The owner of this forum sets the standards for interaction. She chooses to ignore those standards. She can thus be asked to leave, or be put on a SELF-earned suspension.
That is NOT rocket science.

I'm betting that's true; this guy is already dead. My concern is that he knows it. He truly has nothing to lose now; I fear for anyone unlucky enough to encounter him today.
And the cops will find him. Under stress, people like this need a place they feel "comfortable" or familiar. He'll head there. Such a place will be known to those who know this guy, and the cops will find those people and question them. Their questioning techniques of those who know him will not be gentle.

>>>Well, they had him with a knife the day before and still took no action. Presumption of innocence is not an excuse for being dumb and putting lives in danger. The balance here was tipped too far in the defendent's direction.<<<
I agree. I know the court is not allowed to have a defendant wear any kind of restraints in front of a jury.
However, with this guys record and his obvious desire to carry a weapon into the courtroom, they should have made him watch his trial from a room where he was by himself and in restraints.

Thanks for coverin' for me, man.

I was an EMT for three years, and I'm only 5' tall and 100 pounds. There were always two of us, and if need be we called the fire department for manpower.
