I agree. I know the court is not allowed to have a defendant wear any kind of restraints in front of a jury.
However, with this guys record and his obvious desire to carry a weapon into the courtroom, they should have made him watch his trial from a room where he was by himself and in restraints.

I heard he was still out on bond, even this morning - even after the knife discovery.
