Were we wrong about Bill Clinton?
Mar 8,2005

Posted on 03/08/2005 12:49:49 PM PST by swampfx

I started lurking here shortly after Freerepublic started, mainly because Freepublic.com was a great source for news the mainstream media would not cover.

I remember reading about how the Park Police could not find Vince Foster’s keys at the location where his body was found. When the former bouncer and White House errand boy Craig Livingstone went to identify the body at the morgue, he reached in the dead Mr. Foster’s pants pockets and retrieved a large set of keys that was missed by all the professionals. That, among other information left me with doubts about the conclusion Vince Foster committed suicide.

I saw a photo posted on FR of Ron Brown’s head. It looked like a bullet hole to me.

The same April 1996, Ron Brown died; William Colby fell out of his canoe and died.

The mainstream media reported William Colby called his wife shortly before he disappeared and told her he was going for a canoe ride. I found out on FR that his friend and business associate, James Davidson, stated Mr. Colby did not tell his wife he was going for a canoe ride. Why would someone make that up?

About two weeks later, Admiral Boorda shot himself in his chest, through his ribbons. The mainstream media said it was because he was wearing medals he did not earn. I found out on FR, the claim was bogus. Admiral Boorda participated in combat operations in Southeast Asia and was awarded two “V” devices for medals he received related to combat operations.

I learned on FR about Kathy Ferguson. She was married to Bill Clinton’s co-defendant in the Paula Jones civil suit at the time of the reported harassment. Later, Kathy divorced Danny and Kathy was dating Bill Shelton at the time of her death. Days after the suit was filed, Kathy shot herself in the head. Six weeks later, police officer Bill Shelton was found on top of her grave. He died of a gunshot to the head.

Barbara Wise worked in the office in the Commerce Department where the technology transfers to China were being considered. Friday after Thanksgiving in 1996 her naked badly bruised body was found in her office at the Commerce Department. She died of natural causes. I read about the police report describing the condition of her body on Freerepublic.

Less than two weeks after Lewinsky had her reported showdown with the President, Mary Mahoney, a former Clinton White House intern was shot several times in a Starbucks where she worked two miles from the White House. Her two co-workers were also shot to death. No money was taken, no one heard any shots. Unless you read the Washington Times or FR, it is unlikely you have ever heard of Mary Mahoney. The Lewinsky acquaintance and former intern was never mentioned in the national mainstream press.

According to Juanita Broaddrick, Bill Clinton raped her. I believed her.

I voted for our current President hoping for a legitimate investigation into the technology transfers to China and many of the other activities associated with Bill Clinton.

Later, it was explained to me it these potential high crimes would not be investigated because of political reasons.

I thought I understood the reason President Bush would not prosecute Bill Clinton for his many crimes. What I don’t understand is why President Bush now embraces a man I once thought was a rapist, complicit in murder, and a man that sold weapons technology to communist China for campaign contributions.

Were we wrong about Bill Clinton?

"What cases EXACTLY did you expect Ashcroft to bring?"

How 'bout Mass Perjury?1 Mass Obstruction of Justice...Abuse of Power...Conspiracy to Commit Murder...Tampering with Federal Witnesses...Suborning Perjury...Accepting ILLEGAL Bribes from Chi-Com Agents!! How about Sedition and Treason for his part in handing Nuclear Secrets to our Number One Geopolitical Adversary in the World--the Commie Chinese--thereby moving up their timetable some 20-25 years fer creating rockets that could carry a nuclear payload to an American city near you?!

And what about the 78 innocent men, women, and children Bill Clinton ordered to be MASSACRED at Waco? Did NOBODY do anything wrong at Waco? Fact is, to this day, not a single federal agent or anything has been punished one iota fer those 78 deaths...all that tells me is that the decision to MASSACRE came all the way from the top!!

I've got more, if you've got the time...John Ashcroft may be a nice, self-righteous man, but he was an ABYSMAL Attorney General, as gutless as they come!!

FReegards...MUD

I agree with you that they're all politicians who always look out and take care of one another. The whole system is corrupt and allows politicians from both side to line their own pockets and the pockets of their friends.Only a system as broken as ours would allow a certain group of wealthy people to control the immigration policy at our border. My loyalty doesn't belong to any political party but to a set a ideas that both parties only care about when they want to get reelected.

"What do you mean by 'the fix was in'?"

As I'm sure you're quite aware, there is a litany of unsavory "misdeeds" that Clinton could be investigated, indicted, and prosecuted for.

Apparently "Presidential Courtesy" precludes the fact that Bubba will EVER be indicted for -- much less investigated for anything again.

If President Bush appeared in office or prior to election to be critical and judgemental in public about the Clintons, then a certain portion of those that voted for him might not have and you would have had President Gore.

That is why.

I have been thinking about this a lot this afternoon. When President Bush was first inaugurated, I thught he would go after the Clintons. After he refused to charge anyone over the vandalism at the White House, I realized he would not.

There are several reasons:

1. Prosecution would have to be done in D.C. and would never result in conviction, given the jury pool.

2. Airing all this stuff would further polarize the country, and could end up with the democrats gaining power for a long time.

3. National security (after 9/11) trumps anything that would distract from it.

President Bush is concerned about the nation, not just partisan stuff. He has judged it best to let the old days die. Pprosecuting Clinton for treason, for example, would probably draw us into a civil war.

I am much more sanguine about this than I was back in 1999. I guess I have learned that winning against Clinton isn't the most important thing.

You are kidding, aren't you?

Do you remember the 1993 WTC attack by jihadists who fled immediately to Iraq? Clinton never even visited the site. And that was well before the blue dress.

I could turn your argument right around and say that maybe if Clinton's Justice Department hadn't been so busy pursuing and killing American citizens at Waco, maybe he'd have time to catch OBL.

The truth of the matter is that Clinton didn't want to go aggressively against ANYONE except white men. Several books have been written that OBL was ready to be handed over to this country -- but Clinton said no.

In case you missed it, he was charged with most of that, except the treason and the Chi-Com thing, during Impeachment.

Conspiracy to Commit Murder...

Based on what grounds?

And while you're doing that, can you cite me the precedent or law that would have given him the right to do all that?

I'm not so sure it's 'Presidential Courtesy' that precludes any indictments. I think it's a lack of past successes that shows there is no support for that sort of thing. Bubba will get his due justice someday. Call me an idealist. You'd be correct, but my idealism is of a spiritual nature rather than wishful thinking or ignorant delusions.

What I find interesting is that this is being questioned NOW. (Yes, I question the timing of this clever little vanity post by swampfx.) Can't get people to go negative enough on Dubya over illegal immigration, so let's get this boolhockey goin', spread some doubt about his integrity, regurgitate Mena conspiracy theories and the like.

Please, I'm asking you once again, to STOP posting to me.

There are other posters who actually ADD something of value to the thread that I'd much rather post to.

You should know better than to come around threads like these using reason and fact.

Webster L. Hubbell,

presidential friend and former associate attorney general, reached a plea bargain with independent counsel Kenneth Starr in June, agreeing to plead guilty to a felony charge of lying about the role he and Hillary Clinton played as attorneys in a failed land deal, Castle Grande, that contributed to the collapse of a savings and loan institution, Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan. By reaching the agreement and avoiding a trial, Hubbell, who was sentenced to probation, insured that Hillary Clinton would not have to testify in court, which would have coincided with her likely run for the U.S. Senate. Hubbell's guilty plea marked the end of Kenneth Starr's five-year investigation that began as an inquiry into the Clintons' role in Whitewater and broadened in scope to include President Clinton's infamous affair with intern Monica Lewinsky.

"It would not have done any good to go after Clinton, but it would have allowed the main stream media to do to President Bush what they did to all previous Republican, demonize him."

Gee, the msm didn't demonize Bush? I guess I imagined all those one per week bash Bush books, the 60 Minutes weekly Bush bashes, and all that stuff for months leading up to the election, the likes of which I can't ever recall seeing in my lifetime. If that wasn't the msm demonizing Bush, I sure don't want to see what they can do when they work at it.

Clinton has FBI files. They contain, in part, information that would put Bush Sr. in prison.

imho

Here are the Trannie threads for anyone who is interested.

http://www.angelfire.com/tx4/nitafreep/topics/Thread12+1.html

They scared the hell out of me a few years ago. They seemed pretty credible at the time, FWIW. I'm not really sure what to make of them now. But I'm glad that both "Trannie" and Nita took both the personal risk and the time to post them.
