Five militants arrested in Chechnya KHANKALA. March 5 (Interfax) - Five militants involved in major crimes have been arrested in Chechnya, a spokesman for the regional headquarters of the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus told Interfax. Three other militants were detained in Achkhoi-Martan and Naurskaya. "In January, two of them blew up a VAZ-2110 car carrying a deputy chief of the Achkhoi-Martan prosecutor's office, who was seriously wounded in the blast," the spokesman said. Another militant, who was involved in the assassination of Nasrudin Matuyev, the mullah of Novye Atagi, has been arrested. He is a suspected member of a gang led by Timur Abubakarov. "During interrogation, he disclosed the names of other perpetrators of this and other crimes, and indicated their possible whereabouts," the spokesman said.
Oh NO! I feel terrible.
No, but a very close friend of that man.
Which makes it even more disgraceful that these Chechen separatists had a lot of support from key advisors to the Bush Administration.
I can tell you're really sad about this, as I am.
From Moscow Times -
Due to Women's Day on March 8, the next edition of The Moscow Times will be published on Wednesday, March 9.
He looks like Paul Krugman.
According to the Russians, both Mashkadov and Basayev were behind Beslan.
Yup, but I think it is the State dept and not Bush's friends at all. It's the Madeline Halfbright crowd.
Well I wouldn't be surprised. He and Basayev have been close for a long time.
Basayev is next!
He who lives by the sword...
"Which makes it even more disgraceful that these Chechen separatists had a lot of support from key advisors to the Bush Administration."
Names please and documentation please.
Also the place we had to not speak English on the streets so we did not become victims of a chechen kidnapping, and it was where we had an armed bodyguard while completing our adoption.
Many prayers for the good Russians in Rostov-on-Don.
Another one BITES THE DUST.....
Good.
