Wasn't the name Meeropol related to the Rosenbergs and that old scandal?

Gee, what a shock that Springfield, MA would stand in opposition to a Bush Administration economic proposal! I imagine that if W. had proposed that the U.S. become Marxist tomorrow the Springfield City Council would be dancing for joy.

urge Massachusetts' congressional delegation to oppose the Bush reform

Is this even necessary? I don't see Kennedy or Kerry having any problem living up to Meeropol's expectations.

Here is a link to a statement Meeropol and his brother released after the Venona documents from the Rosenberg case came out. It's only interesting in that the spelling and grammar suggest DU troll.

But instead of changing Social Security, Meeropol said, the government should work to increase life expectancies of blacks and Hispanics.

Forced exercise and government controlled diet?

Blacks and hispanics are viewed as pets by Massachussetts liberals. They love them and want to take care of them and give them healthful treats when they’re good.

Condescending douche bags.

"Also, he said, Bush's plan to let younger workers invest rather than paying into Social Security would be risky. That's because the money would be subject to the whims of Wall Street and outside the safeguards of the federally protected Social Security, he said."

Translation: We the Liberals do not want the proletariat to get the idea that they can do a better job with their money than the government can, because then they might figure out they don't need a Social Security Plan.

Social Security will continue paying monthly checks to millions of Americans at least until 2042...

With "borrowed" money.

This liberal POS is probably one of the sons of the biggest traitors to America in the last century, the Rosenbergs. If he and his brother are not gays, they are heroes to the gay agenda pushers.

Fear and Loathing

Downtown exhibit examines the consequences of collective hysteria

By WICKHAM BOYLE

An art show currently on display at the Puffin Room Gallery fuses art and social commentary in a remarkably seamless exhibition.

The art assembled in From McCarthy to Ashcroft: We Remember the Rosenbergs is astonishing and the effect on the soul is chilling.

This exhibit presents work from the 50s to the present time and includes line drawings by Picasso done to raise funds for Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and a Ferdinand Leger lithograph, originally intended to be printed as a scarf also to raise funds, but the Rosenbergs’ execution came too swiftly.

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed 50 years ago this month after being convicted of treason on charges of selling atomic secrets to the Soviet Union. There is a wave of new research being done on the Rosenberg case, much of it pushed by the two sons that Julius and Ethel Rosenberg left behind––who were raised as Robert and Michael Meeropol.

Fixing social security is a useless exercise. Nothing is going to happen until it's too late.
