FREEP - Fayetteville NC, 3/19 "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" (and counterprotest the 5th Column Marxists)
Old North State Chapter ^ | 3/4/05 | Old North State Chapter of Free Republic

Edited on 03/05/2005 8:14:51 AM PST by Lead Moderator. [history]

Once again, busloads of leftist activists will descend upon Fayetteville, NC in an attempt to demoralize the will of our American troops by targetting their loved ones with antiwar drivel.

The choice of Fayetteville, NC, as a focal point of their propaganda campaign, is due to the fact that it is the home of Ft. Bragg (and the 82nd Airborne) as well as the Pope Airforce Base. The leftists will march with socialist banners and bring out an array of speakers decrying the war and advocating every variety of left-wing topic from Marxism and socialism to special "rights" for homosexuals to secularism to pro-Hezbollah Palestinianism. (Seriously - last year they all were really there!)

The unifying factor of all of these groups is anti-Americanism utilizing continued propaganda themes of "Bush lied" and "No blood for oil". The mob will also import a number of speakers who have allegedly lost loved ones in Iraq, and will create some sort of symbolic display reflecting the number of dead. (They have used pairs of boots and black umbrellas in the past.) They will (undoubtedly through an unintentional oversight) neglect to display any symbolism reflecting the number of Americans killed in the WTC, or Iraqis killed by Saddam or Women beaten by the Taliban, or the number of Afghanis and Iraquis and Palestinians and Ukrainians and (soon) Egyptians who now have the ability to vote.

Last year, FReepers countered the leftwing protests with the added participation of Rolling Thunder, Protest Warriors, Vets and other patriotic Americans. This year, we'll do it again! We had lots of press coverage, and totally deflated the left's bubble. Families of our troops loved the fact that we were there!

Please join FReepers from Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and DC in Fayetteville this year as once again we provide aid and comfort to American troops!

I'm planning to drive down from Virginia in a SMOKING (humans, not the engine) minivan. If anyone needs a ride, I don't need gas $$ but I could use some help with driving. I haven't decided yet about leaving Fri night or VERY early Sat am. Freepmail me.

They've been here before. I think I remember them from the grand opening of the Airborne and Special Ops Museum. I told one of them off and just kept going. Very weird women.

Some of the Code Pinkos like to hit counter-protestors, especially man, in hopes of provoking violence and then the Pinkos falsly claim that the counter-protestor hit the Pinko simply for arguing.

It takes some control, but one has to back away and not give them the chance to feign injury and have you arrested. Back away and report the incident to the police.

The attacks from them are usually pathetic "hits" that can be easily laughed off and it probably won't be a problem during most of the events because the police will protect us from the "peace" protestors.

Doctor Raoul promoted the rally and FR on Laura Ingraham's radio show this morning.

Laura Ingraham was discussing Ramsey Clarke when I turned on the radio at about 9:20 am Eastern time.

She then took a call from Doctor Raoul, who pointed out the connection between Ramsey Clarke and the anti-war movement parent group, International Action Center (IAC).

Raoul and Laura then discussed the IAC connections with International ANSWER, the World Workers Party, and its Leader Brian Becker. Raoul said that ANSWER has largely recast its efforts into a different group, but I didn't catch the name of the group.

Raoul then got in a great plug for the counter-protest of the anti-war rally in Fayetteville. He said something like, "Come to Rowan Park in Fayetteville, NC at 11 am on this Saturday. We'll have an American Sector supporting the troops on the high ground overlooking the hollow where the leftists will be. It's about 8 hours from New York City, about 5 hours from DC."

Laura said "where can people get more info?"

Raoul replied "go to FreeRepublic.com."

Laura said, "Great! A FReeper. Thanks."

The very next caller was Doug from Upland who discussed Ramsey Clarke as the face of the Democratic Party and how MoveOn.org claimed that they bought and own the Dem Party.

Those who receive Laura Ingraham on tape delay can hear the great calls from Doctor Raoul and Doug from Upland by listening betweeen 20 and 30 minutes after the beginning of the show.

Way to go Raoul and Doug!

The weather forecast calls for a good chance of rain or drizzle Sat morn, does anyone know if we will be able to put up canopies and if there any size restrictions?

I wonder if the LEOs will let us carry golf umbrellas?

If not I guess we just get wet :)

I've been watching the weather forecasts too. They keep changing it from showers to no showers. I'm just hoping that our luck will hold and we won't have rain.

BillF, Have you ever been to a Fayetteville protest? The police will keep the two groups well separated.

Right, I was there last year. Hence, my statement that Code Pinko minor assaults "probably won't be a problem during most of the events because the police will protect us from the "peace" protestors."

My husband is feeling negatively about having the babies out in the pouring rain. Y'all need to fix the weather!

Any showers on Saturday should be well over before the "events", but we will be getting an answer on canopy restrictions tomorrow.

Thanks. I will bring one if we are allowed to set them up.

Anyone who wants one of those foam mitts with the index finger, check your local craft stores. I found a white one at Michaels this weekend.

Michael's in Cary Crossroads Plaza worked for me...I got all six white ones they had. They have 8 stores in NC.
Link to their store locator

Heh Heh Heh

Very good!!!

I was at the Michaels in my neck of the woods and bought the only two they had; but I forgot to get purple paint. Buddy, can you spare some dye?

I'm bringing a jar of purple ink, but there will probably only be enough for human fingers. (Also it will probably run.)

Can you bring the advertising handouts from the inaugural ball, if you've still got them?
