President Bush had some strong words to Syria to get out of Lebanon, noted here.
He and Vice President Cheney welcomed and congratulated the World Series Cham-peens, the Boston Red Sox, who ended a drought of Biblical proportions with their first World Series win in 86 years. With Speaker Hastert and Senator Stevens, he presented the Congressional Gold Medal to Jackie Robinson's widow, Rachel Robinson, in the name of her husband.
In Arnold, Maryland, the president participated in a job training and education dialogue, linked here.
Secretary of State Condi Rice attended a one-day London meeting, info here, to discuss Iran's nuclear life, the Palestinians, etc. She put off a planned trip to Canada next month, a move seen as a rebuff over Canada's rebuff of the North American missile shield.
Senator Kerry positioned himself obscenely close to the president at Bush's remarks honoring Jackie Robinson.
Other than that crude interruption, enjoy today's visit to Sanity Island.
Now really good night, night Eleanor
You have got to listen to Hannity play that tape of Michael Jackson talking about all the innocent things he does with young boys and saying 'it's not sex-uuu--al.' He'll probably play it tomorrow too. It's the creepiest thing you've ever heard in your life.
I wouldn't let any child I had under my control within 10 miles of that freak. Nor would most parents, IMO.
I know it's from scrappleface, but did Gallagher really say bloggers were "geeky losers in their basements cranking out crap on their computers," ?
Ha ha! Good one! And very true.
I don't doubt that.
Thanks :) I always thought I was funny. Usually I'm the only one though...
Prayers for her tomorrow ... and for her surgeon ... and for her parents! *hugs*
Whoops, accidentally posted this to silent_jonny the first time.
Night snugs. Sweet dreams.
Will keep praying for the surgery and for everybody.
May the Lord glorify His Name through this.
(Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of bonebreaking, I will fear no evil, for He is with me!)
Mike
I love the words on the sign in back ... The Star ... :-)
The baby is adorable. Don't you know that the President and Laura are looking forward to becoming grandparents when the time is right!
Thanks :) I always thought I was funny. Usually I'm the only one though..
Haha, yeah, I have that experience sometimes, too. But I'm entertaining myself, so I just enjoy myself and don't worry about it.
Very true. And since I'm in a manic episode, the bright side is that nearly everything is funny to me.
I Started Praying for her Last Night, and my Prayers for her will Continue as she Recovers from the Surgery. Our King Keep you all in His Perfect and Heavenly Peace, as He works His will in the Lives of His children.
She'll be in it for at least two weeks, kayak. Problem is, it's going to be in the teens the next two nights........and she can't wear anything with long sleeves!
Maybe we can pray for a gulf wind to come along??
I asked because the story sounded like it had a kernel of truth, but if so I don't know why Gallagher would say such a thing. Not that I'm a geeky loser, you understand (shifty eyes).
(I have been well-advised to be sitting down when I first look at it, though. I am the anti-nurse by nature. VERY squeamish.......especially with my babies).
20+ years ago, I had my left foot in one of those contraptions for a while and it's like a constant tooth ache.
Prayers for your daugher.
