Sorry. I've been battling a particularly irresponsible freeper (disruptor) for the last 12 hours and am cranky :-)
She wants me. It's the only thing I could figure.
What a lovely smile Condi has in the photo with Baroness Simons a great photo worth posting on the dose tonight.
She was scheluded to go to Egypt, she cancelled it. I also hear we haven't paid them their couple of billion dollars yet. That's why Mubarak said he would open their voting.
Condi and Bush are doing a little subtle arm-twisting I think.
Hi, Onyx. How are things going with you? What I find interesting about this news is that the Bush administration is setting the stage for a summit with Sharon and Abbas, probably later this year. It's unclear at this early stage if it will be a joint summit with the President or if Sharon and Abbas will meet with him separately. Our Dubya is not letting any grass grow under his feet early in his 2nd term, that's for sure.
I fully understand and sympathize.
We did discuss briefly on the dose I think after you left I think it was Ozbushkin and myself wondered if she had a cold because on British TV she looked cold and was very well wrapped up and I think it was Oz suggested cold as in her opinion she looked flushed.
Funny!
Good day to you, snugs. Just for my own edification, who is Baroness Simons? I think Gretchen does today's Dose, and I pinged her to this thread in case she wants to pick up some of the photos. I'll also put a link on the Dose to this thread.
Thanks for the info. I had heard something about the cancellation of the Egypt trip, but didn't have the chance to follow the story in depth. But I do note that Condi is travelling far more than Powell ever did, and that she's quite up to the task of being GWB's arm twister.
I couldn't resist "looking" lol.
According to my calcuations, you're handling him A-OK.
Thanks for the info, snugs. Condi has been travelling a lot. Also, the U.S. east coast, including Washington, was hit with a pretty nasty winter storm the other day. Perhaps she caught the cold in DC and was still a little unwell on arrival in London.
I'm good, WS and you?
Thanks for the post.
First I've seen of this news.
The woman is truly remarkable. We will be very fortunate if she rises to the Vice Presidency and/or Presidency some day.
As for her statesmanship, she's the best. She has a great head on her shoulders, not great hair style...lol
We love you Condi!
Yes. I think she will give the State Department a new meaning.
As for your note that this is the first you've seen of this news, thanks. I knew I couldn't be the only one.
I know how she feels. I have shoes I haven't gotten an outfit to go with yet. My hubby says if I live to be a hundred, there's no way I could wear them all. He'll never understand a woman and her attraction to shoes. He has two pair. One for wearing and one for funerals.
