Tony Snow Surgery A Success!

We've just gotten word that Tony Snow's cancer surgery has been a complete success and he is on the road to recovery.

Tony said last week that he could actually feel your prayers and it made him feel better.

Praise be to God that Tony has had a successful surgery.

My husband had two sections of his colon removed in early Dec. due to colon cancer. He was fortunate in not needing a colostomy. He has just completed his 4th chemo treatment. He gets several drugs every other week via a catherer in his upper chest.

The main side effects have been fatigue, some nausea (which meds control) and sensitivity to touching anything cold.

We have found the Wellness Community to be very supportive and have learned so much from the programs, talking to other cancer survivors & attending the counseling offered.

May God bless Tony with His Healing Grace.

Continued prayers for a speedy recovery for Tony and your husband Julie.

My mother was diagnosed Stage IV colon cancer. She had a resection (with no colostomy)in November. She has a tumor on her pancreas also. She has a problem managing her pain,the doctor bumped her morphine up to 3 times a day, but no major side effects. She is taking the FOLFOX4/Avastin combo.

After her first treatment she asked my father to get some hamburger out of the refrigerator for her so she could make some meatloaf (she thought cold sensitivity meant stay away from cold drafts). She stuck her hands in the hamburger and she went numb all the way up to her elbows. She rushed to the sink and turned on the hot water to warm them up. She's pretty tough, her main worry this whole time has been about losing her hair and that hasn't happened yet.

I'm sure you are all relieved this is over and now life goes on. There's a lot for you to still do for the conservative cause.
