Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.

What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.

Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.

If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.

A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.

Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.

No, JUDge W. Douglas Baird's wife is Marilyn Brown who is a reporter for the Tampa Tribune. Allegedly Greer's wife, Gail Patricia Greer, works for the St. Petersburg Times although that has not been substantiated. Clearly SP Times has a bias in the Schiavo case, especially the reporter that wrote this particularly story. We need to substantiate if Greer's wife does work for Times and in what role. However, it was a nice touch that Caryn BAIRD was the "researcher" for the Greer story. They forgot to mention his ethical problems when he was a county commissioner and all the "deals" made with real estate developers. This thing with Greer goes way deep with real estate, guardianship, property of wards, etc. MSM is playing a game called smoke and mirrors---divert from the real issue. The Empire Journal is going to show All what the REAL issue is in this very shortly

I think somebody should call the times and speak with Caryn Baird. Perhaps she is a daughter of Judge Baird? It is just such a coincidence,that it should be checked out.

If this isn't scary I don't know what is. Sure that last e-mail doesn't have all the lies this time but it does say it's going to be a difficult time for Terri and for those who love her, etc. making it sound like it's the same attitude as last time. Does not anyone see this?

Surely when they used Terri Schiavo to divert any and all messy "pro-life" attention from the fact the initial "emergency session" was convened to grease the palms of the biotechs Jeb was courting, you saw the writing on the wall.

I commend you for your faithful fight on Terri's behalf and I keep you and all who care for her and revere the sanctity of human life in my prayers.

Perhaps if Terri were a manatee, there might be some room for hope where Florida's elected officials are concerned.

Somewhere on this message board I posted that I thought it was possible that Judge Greer is reading our e-mails. I had a hunch becasue I read a documentary on C-Span about a Supreme Court Justice, the one who wrote Roe v. Wade, and the Judge said that he read every single letter that was mailed to him.

The Times Newspaper article quotes from e-mails that Judge Greer has received (I was laughing thinking that perhaps some of the quotes came frum we Freepers!)so I think that should encourage us to keep writing to him.

Check this out. Pic of Caryn Baird, says she's a newsroom librarian--- reasonly sure she's the "researcher" on the Greer piece, however, she's African-American. Judge Baird is Caucasian. Doubt if they're related. :)

Two years ago after a six year improvement effort which included cuting down Brazilian pepper shrub, the City of Clearwater finally announced that Cooper's Point, a mangrove swamp in Pinellas County, would be ready to open to small groups. You may recall Mel Sembler having a hand in Cooper's Point. When he was having problems over the Cooper's Point matter he hired attorney Timothy Johnson who just happened to have been campaign aide for Pinellas County Commissioner George Greer. In 1987 Michael Kenton, then the environmental management director for the city of Clearwater, Florida, passed up a chance to buy Coopers Point, a mangrove swamp in Pinellas County, for use by the city as a park. Instead he approached the Sembler Company and struck up a deal. Together they bought the property for $1 million using $15,000 of Kenton's own money. Kenton was paid a management fee of $50,000 by the Semblers. Two and a half months later the team almost got away with selling the swamp to the city of Clearwater for $2.6 million when the Saint Petersburg Times learned of the deal and had a field day. All eyes then turned to State Attorney James T. Russell to see what he would do.

As usual in matters dealing with Mel Sembler's schemes like Straight, Inc. Russell did absolutely nothing. He decided this was not a criminal matter since Kenton had been a state employee and thus the state ethics commission should handle the matter. Had the states attorney decided to prosecute Kenton for criminally defrauding the City of Clearwater then the path would have been open to prosecute Kenton's business partner--the Sembler Company who was the big benefefactor in the scheme. There was never any consideration to prosecute anybody at Sembler Company--after all they weren't city employees! But Sembler still had some swamp land to unload. That's when he hired Tim Johnson to lobby his case before the man Johnson had helped get elected County Commissioner George Greer and to the other County Commissioners. Now that was an amazing feat because the county wasn't interested in buying the swamp, the city of Clearwater was. Well ole' Tim Johnson convinced the county to front 66% of the money but not share in the ownership. And that's what happened. Clearwater came up with $650,000 and the county with $1.3 million. Clearwater got the deed and Sembler made a cool $1 million in seven months. He had succeeded in actually selling some swamp land to his neighbors even though they would not own it! And Michael Kenton? Mr. Kenton had to turn over his earnings to pay for the fine the ethics commission put on him.

According to the St Petersburg Times of 12-5-89, Clearwater Commissioner Bill Nunamaker stated, "I still think we've gone after the little cog in the big wheel." To which Clearwater Mayor Rita Garvey replied, "The difference is that they [the Semblers] didn't work for the city." When Nunamaker asked city attorney Milton A. Galbraith Jr. to see whether there was some way to get some repayment from the Semblers Galbraith had replied, "I don't know that I could come up with a good rationale to support an action like that."

The city and county were so anxious to buy the swamp in 1987 but it was not until 2002 and $372,406 worth of improvements that the city finally opened the park--and that was for limited use only by groups like schools and bird watchers. Additional improvements are planned 16 years from now.

By your definition, a baby would be PVS. There is a legal dinition of PVS in FLorida that has been posted a few times and Terri did not fit that definition. I don't have it handy. Perhaps some one else has it.

Terri does communicate. She gets excited when her mother visits. She laughs and smiles at her father's jokes. She used to say a few words, but since Micheal would not allow her anymore rehabilitation after he won the jury award, she is only able to slur some words now.

Terri's case is being watched by the entire planet. People of all races and religions are screaming about the injustices being done to Terri.

Our nation doesn't have the best world image right now, and Terri's death would only further vilify America... Not to mention the fact that it would make the (pro-life) GOP look like a bunch of shysters.

It would behoove some people in high places to realize just how important Terri's life is to our nation.
