Terri's Freepers,
Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.
What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.
Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.
If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.
A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.
Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.
What can we do?
1. LOBBY TO SAVE TERRI
2. HELP BUMP THIS THREAD.
3. POST ARTICLES YOU SEE ABOUT TERRI.
4. VISIT PINELLAS COUNTY FLORIDA AND VIGIL WITH US AT HOSPICE WOODSIDE.
5. VISIT TALLAHASSEE AND LOBBY IN THE HALLS OF THE LEGISLATURE.
6. HOLD A DEMONSTRATION AT THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION.
7. Join the Message Board that freepers started at the Crystal Cathedral/Hour of Power. TELL YOUR CHURCH ABOUT TERRI.
8. Tell your friends that Terri is alert and aware of her surroundings and to visit www.terrisfight.org to see her videos.
9. PETITIONS. We will gather current Petitions here for you. At this time, you can sign a SAVE TERRI PETITION AT www.renewamerica.us. THERE ARE ALSO IMPEACH GREER PETITIONS ABOUT.
Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY, THE PAY ISN'T VERY GOOD BUT THE FRINGE BENEFITS ARE THE GREATEST. You are Great Americans and liberty is Terri's and freedom from oppression. Freepers, that is the big payoff if we continue our daunting task.

Ohioan from FL,I agree with you. Jeb will give Greer a chance. If Greer does not take it, Jeb will move. That is certainly within the law, as the DCF has that right and duty to take temporary charge of Terri if she is in continual danger. And Jeb said, "within the law"...

Possibly, but I think it's important that the evil people be allowed every possible inch of rope with which to hang themselves first.
Physically removing Terri may become necessary--don't get me wrong--but she won't be safe until the forces of evil are rent asunder. Fortunately, I think the forces of righteousness are gaining strength faster than the forces of evil, but a premature rush to battle could be disastrous.

You know, I was even just thinking that if Michael gets desperate and tries something drastic with Terri, he'll for sure land his rear end in the slammer. He may be done for after all.
YUP - Destination = Tallahasse!! Large angry crowds outside their offices strike fear into any politicians heart. Every one of them, for the most part, are self-preservationists. There is No way that they are going to have their snouts kicked out of the public trough!! When it lands on their doorstep and they actually get to "see" and "Hear" from those who have the power to remove their snouts, it usually produces some desirable results.
I must say that my best friend who in many ways was very wise pointed out many of your points countless times throughout my youth - as well as the counter culture's remarkable tendency to rationalize wrong doing. You are RIGHT and so was he.

Although I didn't go into the specifics, I suspect that getting the people to recognize that they can be "okay" even if their past actions aren't will be the key to unravelling abortion and euthenasia. I don't know how best to introduce the subject in Terri's case--it's rather too complex to put on a placard--but I suspect it is key. Many people are probably worried that if Terri's death isn't okay, that someone else's death in which they played a part would also then not be okay. Such people will feel compelled to promote Terri's death unless or until they can be helped to come to terms with their own past actions.
Most of the "battle" is won in the prayer closet supercat. Then the RESULTS are manifest in the open.
Depends how one defines one's metaphorical terms, I guess. Many wars are won and lost on the homefront, but that doesn't mean the battles take place there.

However, the Bush men always give their opponents the rope to hang themselves, and when everyone is screaming at them, why haven't you done this or that, what are you waiting for, you are NEVER going to act, that is when they do.
People said that George would never get around to invading Afghanistan, because he gave the Taliban a chance. They said he would never get around to invading Iraq, because he gave the UN and Saddam Hussein a chance.
People were saying Jeb had run off to South America and would be gone while Terri was starved to death. Jeb returned from his trip and spoke out that he would do everything he could do within the law to save Terri.
DUH.
And you continue to say he will do nothing?
Were you among those who said he would do nothing in '03 when at least he saved her then from starvation/dehydration on her 6th day? I don't know if you were, but I remember that a lot were predicting he would do nothing because he was cowardly or some such.
He is cautious and careful. Not quite the same as cowardly...

You hit the nail on the head with your post. I'm guessing that a lot of people who are rooting for Michael are trying to ease their own guilty consciences over what they may have done in the past with someone they've loved. Perhaps they fell for the lies of the euthanasia movement, but there's no need in perpetuating the lies. We've got to remind people that the only way to get over it is to come clean.
