Republican disowns lesbian daughter

Guardian When the leading Republican and rightwing pundit Alan Keyes was asked what he thought of Mary Cheney, the lesbian daughter of the US vice-president, he called her "a selfish hedonist". If his own daughter came out as a lesbian, said Mr Keyes, he would say the same thing.
So when Mr Keyes' only daughter, Maya Marcel-Keyes, declared herself a "liberal queer" at a public rally he lived up to his word. Her parents turned her out of their house, broke off all communication and stopped paying her university tuition fees.
Ms Keyes told a rally supporting gay young people in Maryland: "We have to figure out what we can do to make sure that during those times when it seems like everything in the world is turning against them, like everyone in the world is rejecting them, that they know there are resources out there they can turn to; there are people out there who will say to them, 'I care'."
Ms Keyes joins a list of gay people with rightwing relatives, including Mary Cheney and Candace Gingrich, the sister of Republican congressman Newt Gingrich. But Mr Keyes, a darling of the religious right, has been more outspoken on the issue than most.
Ms Keyes says her parents were "not too pleased" when she came out. "Things just came to a head. Liberal queer plus conservative Republican just doesn't mesh well."
Her older brother has offered her somewhere to stay and she has been given a scholarship to continue at college.
"My daughter is an adult, and she is responsible for her own actions. What she chooses to do has nothing to do with my work or political activities," Mr Keyes said in a statement.
Ms Keyes says she loves her parents and "totally understands" their position.
You allowed yourself to be manipulated emotionally by a leftist rag that intended to manipulate you emotionally, by repeating their lie that the Keyes' had broken off all communication with their daughter, and used that lie to propagate a hyper-emotional line of rhetoric, in which you continued to charge the Keyes's with non-communication, and condemned them based on a lie.
No mamm, it's not my reading comprehension that is ascew, it is yours, to the point of being a pawn for the homosexual agenda and leftist agenda.

And I am free to highlight his hypocrisy. As in, also, his "that was then and this is now" comment about carpetbaggers that Heisenberg posted.
Had there been evidence that he was responding immediately and clearly to the lesbian behavior, I wouldn't be posting. The evidence, though, does not support that.

What she did was not a simple matter of "disagreeing politically", what she did was to join in an agenda that is in opposition to everything her parents stand for, being used by that agenda because of her name and who her parents are, charging her parents with lies and distortions and being militant and defiant against her parents, while accepting their shelter, food, protection, payment of her education, etc......that is what was dishonoring.
You are free to state your opinion as well, but your opinion is not equal to truth, no matter how much you may wish it to be.

I've asked that before, as well as other queries, but you don't seem to be interested in genuine dialog. Your interest seems to be in whining and bashing Alan Keyes and Bible believing Christians after being emotionally manipulated by the lies of the homosexual agenda and the leftist rag the Guardian.
