Sacramento -- Secretary of State Kevin Shelley has moved his resignation date from Tuesday to Friday, citing "administrative convenience,'' according to his resignation letter.

Shelley, who was mired in ethics scandals and the subject of multiple investigations into his fund raising and his handling of federal voting act money, announced Feb. 3 that he would step down from the office effective Tuesday.

Neither the secretary of state's office nor the governor's office could provide more information Friday about why the resignation date had changed.

The reason is one of two things, maybe, both. The few extra days gives him additional employment credit for golden benefits from the state, retirement, dancing girls, a vacation home, what ever he can extort from the state. Second, of course, is that Friday is the day that the cash in unmarked envelopes is delivered for payoffs, skims, kick-backs, extortion, bribes and shares in crimes. There probably is an official payday for state employees between the two days in question, The Friday change allows him to get the piece of salary from those who owe him their jobs and from the other politicians who have phatom people on their payrolls. An honest media would have mentioned this.

"Like his PDA did a couple of nights ago"

Since he wiped a smudge off of the window of entry in question before the police "investigation" he was probably the one that made it disapear.

I hope the feds do him in!
