The two Indonesians and a Malaysian, all alleged Jemaah Islamiah members, were arrested in southern Zamboanga City in December, along with a Filipino member of the Abu Sayyaf extremist group. Bomb-making manuals, parts and money were seized, officials said.

The fighting has left 33 soldiers and between 70 to 100 Muslim renegades dead and over 80 others injured.

Too many soldiers, too few Muslims dead. Renegades? That's much too complimentary a word. Terrorists? Muslim Extremists? Outlaws? Devils? Creeps? Crud? I could think of many other words to use for them.
