"Forsake The Troops" ^
Posted on 02/23/2005 12:43:51 PM PST by mhking
Forsake The Troops started off as Citizens Against the Troops, an organization founded in the Summer of 2004. We currently have fifteen members in our organization, spanning all across this country. Our founder, and leader's name is Scott Vogel, who currently resides in Southern New Jersey. Other members have their bios available as well. To view those, click here.
Our position is that as it stands currently, the compensation, benefit, and retirement packages that our active duty and retired military personnel get is outrageous, and undeserved. The American taxpayer is supporting the military enlistee, when said person made the decision to become a walking, talking target for Uncle Sam, and "Yuk Yuk" Bush. They made the choice to leech off of the American taxpayer, therefore we must do our part as taxpayers to recoup our funds, or at the very least stop this obscene abuse of our taxes.
Our intention is not to inspire, suggest, or joke about violence towards the military; rather, our goal is to eventually approach Congress about completely revamping the military pay structure. Despite common opinion, we are not a hate group, that we do not condone acts of violence, or any illegal acts towards military facilities or personnel.

No I have never been to New Jersey, but we had a wonderful neighbor from there who was in the Navy.
I do live 11 miles from the Mississippi River which separates Tennessee and Arkansas, and this kind of stuff is real common there.

You are right! I should be ashamed for real. My apologies to all of the good people in Arkansas. I kinda have a jaded view as My Husband's lived in Arkansas and these people sound like they could be related. Yuk!

Maybe each of the fifteen is an anti-army one.

That sound was the lid coming off my temper.
May the Almighty grant that none of these things ever cross my path. I tend to admire civilization but I never claimed to be civilized.

They actually had 16 members, but Hitlery thought it best at this juncture to let her membership lapse. /sarcasm

Actually, I have; a few years ago, one of my favorite summer jaunts involved going to the Cowtown Rodeo, all the way down in Woodstown (this was when I was living in central NJ; I've always loved the central and southern parts of the state and know the entire area well, while loathing northern NJ as dirty, crowded, rude, and just wholly unfit for civilized living), which is actually located south of the Mason-Dixon line. Yee-Haw! If you're from NJ or environs and haven't been down there I'd recommend it highly -- it's a blast. Who'da thunk we'd have a PRCA-affiliated rodeo here?

Some sicko.
I imagine these to be more random and isolated events though. Nonetheless sad, I don't think they represent the spirit of the nation.

Now, do we know any hackers?
