It's pretty bizarre up here on the Central Coast: one minute the sun is shining, the next minute it's pouring. It's been doing that all day.

Hubby just told me that there's .8" of rain in the gauge, since last night.

Actually a usually smarty-pants MARK KRISKI was very serious when sharing his thoughts on TV about Southern California weather patterns being changed by South Asia's recent Earthqukes/Tsunami's.

Which is complete and utter garbage.

Yes, when I look out my window over your direction, I can tell you are getting even more of a downpour than we are here, if that is possible!! It is so crazy. Every once in a while the sun peeps out as if to tantalize us!! Then BOOM!!!!!!! the downpours hit again. How long will this go on??

.

After the South Asia Earthqukes/Tsunami's there were news reports that Space Satellites picked up the Earth's axis shifting ever so slightly afterwards. The only question is what effect this has had on the world's Weather since?

So far Southern California seems to be seeing the most seasonal change with buckets of rain collapsing canyon walls onto roads and Freeways.

Actually, what's being under-reported is the Pacific Ocean experienced the el Nino condition in 2004. That is what's driving all this rain. Happens every 7 years or so.

Hi Karl,

The thunder has begun again, yet I thought the storm was gone. Have you seen a recent satellite image? Are we going to get more of what happened last night? It thundered all night long last night.

Yep, although I missed that lightening. It is common here to hear helicopters and jets but the thunder has been much louder than in past storms. That was definitely thunder.

I made a room addition last year. There was SO MUCH RAIN AT ONCE, that somehow an amount of water got under the flashing on the roof and left me with a few gallons on the floor.

I was up on the roof just after the 10AM downpour with a caulking gun and a supply of Henry's roof repair stuff.

Really can't tell if I got it until the next BIG rain.

Cross your toes and wish me luck...

It's thundering out here, ACAGuy. Maybe wait til there's no chance of lightening before you go up on the roof.

Oh my, sorry to hear that. Several people I talked to today said they never remember it raining as hard as it did last night...

I was on the roof at 10:30am, and again caulked more stuff and finished at 6pm.

I'm good to go, just hope I got what I needed to.
