I need help with Outlook Express. I need to set up an automatice reploy that alerts anyone sending me an email that I am out of the office. I can't find anything in the help folder.
No one in my office knows how to do it either. Hell, we buy computers that fell off the back of a truck and from Vietnamese guys at computer shows...
Any help would be aprreciated.

If you were using these as your keyword search, we may have found your problem.
"out of office" not available on outlook express
On the Tools menu, point to Message Rules, and then click Mail.
I haven't doneit but I think you can.
GOOGLE SEARCH
http://www.google.com/search?q=outlook+express+%22out+of+office%22&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
CREATE A NEW MAIL RULE
When a mail contains your addres REPLY WITH (message)
Feature not available in outlook express ---- it is available in outlook
Just had to google "outlook express" autoreply.
All your reploys are belong to us.
Select "Tools" and then "Out of Office Assistant."
The rest is easy.
Contact your Internet Service Provider and ask if they provide a "vacation mail" feature. It would not depend on using Outlook Express, but would perform the service you describe on their e-mail server. You would probably control it through a web browser.
Oooops. Never mind. I just have plain old Outlook.
Tools---> Message Rules--->Mail--->New--->
Set 1. Conditions for rules--->all messages
Set2. Select the Actionf for your rule-->reply with message
Set 3. rule Descirption--->click Reply with message and type in your Out of office message you want sent
Thanks for your help (at least to those who actually tried...). Our "in-house" solution is to "give your secretary your password and she can read your mail everyday." That ain't gonna happen... :o)
Anyway, thanks for the help.
If you have the latest copy of Outlook Express (Office 2003), you can create Message Rules under Tools, Message Rules. I just did it.
If you don't have the latest copy, GET IT!
I am touched by the number of FREEPERS who took the time to reploy to a fellow FREEPER's problem.
Obviously he considered it series.
