PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (Reuters) - With their legal options almost gone, the parents of a brain-damaged Florida woman began a campaign of public protests and political pressure on Wednesday to keep their daughter alive. .....

"We will not rest until we save Terri from starvation. This is not someone who is brain-dead," Randall Terry said at a news conference with Robert Schindler. ......

He said he would also picket Michael Schiavo's home and workplace. ......

"This guy (Michael Schiavo) is a monster. The gloves are coming off," Terry said.

That's the best MSM article I've seen on this yet!! My only real problem with it is the statement that Terri had a heart attack. According to her medical records, she didn't have a heart attack. While we don't know for sure what happened, indications are that she was asphyxiated on the night of her mysterious collapse.

Sadly, Sola Veritas, I am afraid that your statement is false. When George W. Greer received 65 percent of the vote on Aug. 31, 2004. that pretty much told us that Pinellas and Pasco county voters want Terri dead YESTERDAY. Many were reported to have said that they are sick and tired of hearing about her, and their sympathies are with the popular Michael R. Schaivo, who describes himself as "oppressed" by the Schindlers! What strange things happen in "Sunshine" FL!

I don't see any reason to question the Schindlers' obtaining the services of Randall Terry. Of course, he is a polarizing figure (and has skeletons in his closet too)but Terri needs a fighter now, not a smooth talking lawyer who has no clout at all with George W. Greer anyway.

The day is past for ANY of us to pretend that he [Michael Schiavo] is a decent man. This guy is a MONSTER! He is NOT a good person. He has been living with another woman for how many years? He has two children by her. Why doesn't he just divorce Terri, give her to mom and dad, and go on with his life. We're going to hold pickets AT HIS HOME. We're going to find out where he works, and hold picket there.

Whoa, I didn't know that. Thanks for the information. Of course, I was talking more about the national mood. However, the local one in this case is more important. This limits the power of the Governor to intervene if the people of his state won't back him in taking "extreme" measures.

We know that the Lord is still in control in this matter, and He loves justice and mercy. God and his angels can do wonderful and majestic things to help His children. I'm hopeful that there will be a safe solution for Terri. That's my fervent prayer. God would NOT be glorified in any way by her death. Therefore, I'm praying with optimism that Terri will be saved.
