Clinton woman shoots, kills man during break-in

CLINTON — A Clinton woman shot and killed a man who broke into her house early Wednesday, an East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.
Sheriff’s detective Don McKey said Arthur Sanford, 44, 11808 Clarence St., Clinton, died from a gunshot wound suffered during a struggle with the woman, who was beaten and apparently stabbed during the confrontation.
The shooting occurred about 2:20 a.m. at the woman’s residence on Plank Road less than a mile south of Clinton’s corporate limits. McKey said Sanford broke into the home by crawling through a fireplace wood box that opens inside and outside the house.
Detectives are still investigating the incident this morning. McKey said the woman was treated at a hospital for her injuries and released.

Break into someone's house at your own peril. I was visiting a girlfriend's grandmother in Clinton once. The old lady had 3 rifles and a handgun, that I saw. I pity the fool that tries to break in on her.
Ona side note, great fishing there in Clinton.

It might sound strange, but...
Thank goodness she was stabbed-- otherwise, the hounds of "civil liberties" would be braying for her blood. ( poor burglar just wanted money for food, victim of his environment, etc )
