DUBAI, Feb 16 (Reuters) - An unknown aircraft fired a missile on Wednesday in a deserted area near the southern city of Dailam in the province of Bushehr where Iran has a nuclear power plant, Iranian state television said.
"A powerful explosion was heard this morning on the outskirts of Dailam in the Bushehr province. Witnesses said that the missile was fired from an unknown plane 20 km (12 miles) from the city," Iran's Arabic language Al-Alam said.

from google

As Minorsky also remarks, however, there is some discussion, even in ancient times, of the ancient region of Dailam, as a highly mountainous, crescent-shaped area in the north of present day Gilan province, in northern Iran. Dailam was bounded in the north by the Caspian sea (forming its south-west littoral) and in its south by the Alburz mountain range. Minorsky called this region 'Daylam [Dailam] proper', remarking that the Dailamites also occupied the northern slopes of the Alburz mountains (Minorsky in Lewis, 1965: 190).

This could be it.

Whoo-hoo! Now we need to find out who did it… us or the Israelis.

Is this Israel's long speculated next move? Batten down the hatches if this is the real thing.

What is located at the City of Dailam? Are the Israelis finally taking out the nukes?

One can only wonder. I'm sure the Iranians will quickly pin the blame on the Jooz at any rate. They always do.

If the US or Isreal are going after Iran's Nuke facilities there would be a lot more than one missle.

Ping! No actual links on the Web yet, but various people are saying that Reuters and Sky News are reporting it.
