The President had no formal appearances today, but in a 98-0 decision, nominee Michael Chertoff was confirmed as the new Secretary of Homeland Security by the Senate. President Bush signed a declaration that Ohio is a major disaster area due to a severe ice storm, heavy snow flooding and mudslides (it's still a mess here!). First Lady Laura Bush spoke today at the 2005 Community College National Legislative Summit in Washington.

The Dems are on the run and losing ground. It's a GREAT Day to be a Bushbot, so ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!!

Excellent point. His harm to and crimes against this country HAVE to be a campaign issue should his partner in crime run in 2008.

It's a really great magazine. Our son is a serious runner, and he loved the articles (almost as much as Mom did!)

I'm afraid that ight be too late, as it will be discounted as political mudslinging...I sincerely believe we need to stop legitimizing Clinton with honors and instead expose him fer the crook that he is. Dubyuh needn't take the lead on this, but he should allow investigations to proceed wherever they may lead.

However I always thought johnny cash was money reserved for pay toilets.

Donny Lytle thought money made for a good name so he used Johnny Paycheck for a lot of his career.

For a while I thought about changing my show name to Bad Czech and join Willie and Waylon as one of the outlaws. .. but all I got was canceled check.

Way back in the very early sixties I was in Nashville. It was DJ convention time. I was there for the purpose to trying to get some (even one) of my songs recorded.

A guy just out of the army conned me into letting him stay in my room in the Andrew Jackson Hotel. Late Friday night Marty Robbins came into my room... I had jam session going. I asked Marty to listen to one of my songs... He didn't like it.

After Marty turned me down the fresh out of the Army dude asked Marty to listen to one of his. Marty liked it and recorded it a week later. It wa a song called Ruby Ann and it was not a hit.

That is when I decided if that no talent former army dude could hit town and get a song recorded in days, and I couldn't get one recorded in months, it was time for me to get a new life.

I left town. When I got back home I found one of that no talent song writer's neckties in my suit case.

I still have the tie. It belongs to Kris Kristofferson.
