Seven Arrested In Underaged-Sex Investigation
Men Allegedly Heading To Mexico To Have Sex With Minors

SAN DIEGO -- Federal investigators took three men into custody on Harbor Island Monday on suspicion of interstate travel for purposes of having sex with a minor, the FBI reported. Four others are in custody in Los Angeles for the same crime.
Phillip Todd Calvin, 43, of Dallas; David Cory Mayer, 49, of Chicago; and Paul Ernest Zipszer, 39, of Deland, Fla., surrendered without incident about 10 a.m., FBI Special Agent Jan Caldwell said. Investigators said Mayer is a psychologist who counsels sex offenders and Calvin is a dentist.
Agents arrested the three on a dock at Harbor Island after an undercover operation that started in November of 2003.
A San Diego FBI agent infiltrated the North American Man/Boy Love Association, attended two meetings according to investigators, and built up trust with other members. His affiliation led to a planned trip to Mexico, where the seven men believed they would find a safe haven where they could engage in sex with underage boys.
The requests were specific, including an age range of 8 to 14. The men were supposed to leave for Mexico on Saturday, but instead found themselves in a sting operation.
FBI Special Agent Daniel Dzwilewski said, "There were revelations by these members (that) they had previously engaged in sex with minors (at) various locations that they considered safe havens where they could do this activity. One individual mentioned Costa Rica and another mentioned Thailand."
Calvin, Mayer and Zipszer were booked into the Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown San Diego pending initial appearances in U.S. District Court.
The men under arrest in Los Angeles include a special education teacher and an ordained minister charged with possessing child pornography.
The FBI said this is the biggest infiltration they have ever accomplished into the NAMBLA.
If convicted, the men face 15 years behind bars.

This is so very sick and so very sad. I cannot believe the lengths (no pun intended) these mentally ill men will go to just to grope little boys for their own selfish gratification. What is it doing mentally and emotionally to these boys?

15 years? They'll be unlucky if they get any more than 6 months. It's judicial sentencing gone awry.

"Unfortunately without help these young boys will probably prey on young boys when they grow up. That is why more of these sting operations need to be conducted.

Probaly by reminding themselves that not giving best possible defense could result in a conviction being overturned in the future due to incompentancy of the defense counsel. It's a pretty f*cked job but I guess someone has to do it. As long as the ACLU balances out their clients (i.e. also defend christians who have their religious views squashed in secular enviornments) then I don't have much to complain about. So far they do a *moderately* okay job, imo.
They should each have a fair, speedy trial and then, after the inevitable jury conviction---->a short trip down a long rope configured to the hangman's knot at high noon.

Funny, NAMBLA sounds like Mafia, but w/ a N. How on earth does one gain the 'trust' of Nambla dudes? What kind of training is required? This agent, whoever he is, must be an unusual fellow. I hope during the arrest he was able to illustrate the most painful of apprehension techniques ...
Hate to be the one to rain on your parade but that simply is not true.
If you don't believe it just check the registry of sexual predators in your area. Most, if not all of the people on that list have served time and lived to tell about it.
