Unfortunately without help these young boys will probably prey on young boys when they grow up. That is why more of these sting operations need to be conducted.

Probaly by reminding themselves that not giving best possible defense could result in a conviction being overturned in the future due to incompentancy of the defense counsel. It's a pretty f*cked job but I guess someone has to do it. As long as the ACLU balances out their clients (i.e. also defend christians who have their religious views squashed in secular enviornments) then I don't have much to complain about. So far they do a *moderately* okay job, imo.
