Search engine is cash engine for Democrats
WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Employees of U.S.-based search engine Google gave $207,650 to federal candidates for the 2004 elections -- virtually all of it to Democrats.
A USA Today analysis published Monday indicated 98 percent of the money went to Democrats, the most-lopsided giving of any of the top tech company donors.
Microsoft was the biggest tech donor, with its political action committee contributing $3.1 million last year, 60 percent to Democrats.
Overall, 53 percent of high-tech industry contributions went to Democrats, said the liberal Center for Responsive Politics, a group that tracks campaign spending and contributions.
Republicans must work hard to win support from a company whose employees seem philosophically wed to Democrats, CRP's Larry Noble said.
Google declined to discuss employee campaign contributions but the among the company's top 2004 givers was Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt, whose biggest single donation was $25,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

along with my wife April for emotional rape.........
Yep, you're the real Steve Bozell
actually according to Headline news, google gave no money to any party, Microsoft gave a %53 to dems %47 to Repuiblicans
Waste of time...there is no way I will stop using Google.
During the election cycle, I DEFINATELY had the impression that Google searches emphasized NEGATIVE articles on GW, and positive articles on the annointed RAT.
Thanks! this confirms they are not to be trusted for political searches.
All the dentists I know, save one, voted for GWB. I wouldn't knowingly associate with any who voted for John F'n sKerry...
Do a GIS for "Condoleeza Rice" (no quotes) half of the hits one page one are either racial or downright insulting. Sadly, until another search engine surpasses Google's usefulness I'll keep using them.
I would be less concerned with to whom they gave money than what they do with the information they collect on us.
Of course they are more DumocRAT inclined, it stands to reason, in their let it all hang out world. Just like celebs.
:O)
P
I don't do buisiness with any known liberal supporting companies. For the individuals that work for those companies Ihave no quarrel if they donate to whom they please, but if the company itself chooses to go left,Igo elsewhere if possible.
Like your tag line....Democide population control as practiced by the Left!
Thanks. I have been reading a LOT of Rummel.
When a brand becomes a verb (Hey, just Google that), it's pretty hard to bring them down.
They don't make money of you don't click their ads.
I will continue to use google to get information to use AGAINST Democrats. Screw them! They can google that!
Not quite. Once one knows the ins & outs of Google.com, one will hardly want to turn away. You would be hard pressed to find a search engine that can even come close to rivaling Google.
I agree but 98% democrats! If a there was a similar situation with a company that had 98% republicans it would also be odd.
Right now it's worth a look at other search engines because the industry is really heating up. Yahoo and MSN are excellent. I'm not saying boycott because I like Google but certainly it's time to play the field a bit.
Check out Google News and see real liberal bias.
Forget Google - The Copernic suite is the best web search tool available.
Copernic is an integrated suite of applications, not a search engine website. Of course, unlike Google, you actually have to pay for Copernic - But it works, and the approach weeds out any bias that a single search engine might reflect.
Copernic meta-searches one of dozens of sets of topic specific search engines tailored to a specific search (for example, foreign language, technical papers, images, etc), validates links, removes duplicates, and generates a summary of each page based on your parameters (eg 20, 30, or 50% of the length of the original article)

yeah I saw that on a couple of programs and blogs..I think they are trying to recitfy that cause a couple of blogs like Wizbang and Captain's Quarters just got on.....either way, I'm keeping an eye on the situation....
