Going to CPAC 2005? Stop by the D.C. Chapter booth.
February 13, 2005

In 2003 the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was the recipient of an unused booth at CPAC, thanks to the resourcefulness of Taxman and the generosity of the Weekly Standard, who wasn't going to use their booth. Our first "official presence" at CPAC was such a great success that D.C. Chapter members pooled their pennies and rented our own booth in 2004. And again we had a great time talking to CPAC attendees about our capital city activism, Free Republic's national activism and signing up new D.C. Chapter members.

It has been a great way to inform conservatives in our area (DC, MD, VA) and nationally about Freepers' activities in our nation's Capital (CPAC has a photo of our 2004 booth on their website).

So, for the third year running, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will have a booth at CPAC.

This year at CPAC we will be promoting our March 19th Support the Troops rally in DC, our 7th annual Freep of the White House Correspondents Association Dinner on April 30th, and we will also be informing people of how they can help in the upcoming battle over the judicial nominees.

And for those of you who haven't seen it yet, or who want to see it again, we will be hosting an encore presentation of Sauropod's Most Excellent Freeper Video, which debuted at the Free Republic W2 Ball in January.

If you're going to be at CPAC this year, please look us up!

Even if you are unable to attend CPAC, but are in the D.C. area and would like to meet your fellow Freepers, we'll be making announcements soon on when and where we will be having dinner gatherings; so watch for those announcements in the next day or so.

I just wanted to thank you for your care and concern. Looks like the ankle is broken - very painful. Your assistance was greatly appreciated.

Regards,

TS

Yikes! Broken? And you were walking on it? Take care and let it get better.

BROKEN!!!!!?????

No wonder aspirin and Advil didn't help!! Just thinking of having a broken ankle and the loooong walk to get out of the building and to medical help is painful.

But I hope now that you have a diagnosis, that you will be on the mend.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

A break is better than a sprain, they tell me, but it looked horribly painful yesterday. Glad somebody got you some aspirin. Very good to see you again and meet your very special son.
