Keyes has a huge following here. Folks on other conservative sites find him an embarrassment and try to ignore him.
Utter rubbish. Tripe. Specious lying and revisionism above and beyond anything I've ever seen on this site.
Do you really believe he would believe otherwise about his daughter's decision?
I believe he knew at the same moment he used Mary Cheney.
Alan Keyes is not a dishonest man.
Yes, he is. In the worst kind of way, abusing another man's daughter for his own purposes, why hiding his own daughter.
I found it easy to draw the inference.
I don't find that hard to believe at all.
I'd love to have my son back, no matter what "shape" he was in. :-)
What a confusing world we live in!
"Homosexuality is a sin. The Bible says so. The Bible is the Word of God."
And you call people "sheep" who don't believe that homosexuality is a sin? Because an old book whose authors aren't around for comment say so? The bible may be the word of God, but that isn't provable. I'm sure if Jesus were to reply to your post he'd say, "I'll tell you what's sin and what's not, on a case by case basis."
BULLSEYE.
I suppose if you were the reporter interviewing Keyes on the topic of queer marriage you would have asked more intelligent and probing questions for your headline, like "Does this mean Liberace was a selfish hedonist?" or perhaps "Does this mean Rock Hudson was a selfish hedonist?"
Those who are intellectually honest know who brought up Mary Cheney and why, and who was otulining a position on queer marriage. Your head is jammed up the twin rear ends of "party uber alles" and the Bush/Cheney cult, and I quite expect your rendevous with intellectual honesty are as rare and brief as a typical liberal's are.
I would personally be disappointed in family members (and friends) if their moral opinion changed about a particular behavior (as in, now it's okay), because I was engaged in that immorality.
You can believe someone is wrong and tell them so and STILL love them very much.
Hey, Joe, I'm stealing that one!
When it comes to sexuality, the world has always been complicated. It's just that there used to be lots of taboos when it came to talking about certain things.
You're not aware of a lot, Modernman, and your biases color and control what you little are aware of.
Are you admitting for all to see that he's too stupid to NOT KNOW when he's being set up?
Or is it that the reporter was smarter than Keyes -- he had to know the answer he would get from Keyes; it's not OUR fault Keyes jumped at the chance to pontificate!

BOILERPLATE CLAPTRAP uttered to ANYBODY who can see through Alan Keyes' cultlike hold on you people.
He was asked a question. He didn't dodge it. He gave his answer. You called him a hypocrite. Do you contend he lied in giving his answer?
Great post, TA! Wise counsel.
Yes it is.
Which party, Alan Keyes or his daughter, is doing that, do you think?
LOL.....covering her butt!
We use to have a sign on the refrigerator door that said
Move out now while you still know everything.
How nice. Ad hominems.
A civil person engaged in polite discourse, when confronted with my statement that I'm not aware of any changes in Dick Cheney's position on homosexuality, would have responsed with evidence to the contrary, if he/she had any.
I'll take your insults as an admission that you have no evidence to back up your claim that Dick Cheney changed his views on homosexuality.
Do you have a gay son or lesbian daughter?
I said you were only aware of bits and pieces. Am I wrong?
