Republican Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Sunday that if activist judges don't stop challenging the Defense of Marriage Act that protects states from being compelled to recognize gay marriage, he'll push for passage of a constitutional gay marriage ban.
Asked if he would bring up the marriage amendment this year, Frist told "Fox News Sunday," "Not this year but in all likelihood, in this Congress. "The Defense of Marriage Act is again being questioned by activist judges all over the country," he warned. " If they continue to question it, we'll bring it up sooner. Otherwise I expect it will be brought up sometime in this Congress."
Frist noted that since the issue exploded last year, 13 states have passed constitutional amendments against gay marriage.
Meanwhile in San Francisco, Democratic Mayor Gavin Newsom urged gay couples to back politicians who support gay marriage.
"It's time to hold our elected officials accountable," Newsom told a crowd of about 3,000 gay and lesbian supporters on Saturday during a ceremony to mark the anniversary of last year's "Winter of Love," when the mayor flouted California law and married thousands of gay and lesbian couples
"It is no longer acceptable for politicians to come to you every election cycle and ask for money and then say, 'It's too much, too soon,'" Newsom complained, according to the Associated Press.
Indeed.
The latest strain might make the argument academic at best.
I would like to remind everyone that gays are not gay just run of the mill homosexuals who are trying their darndest to skewer the morality of our country to their way of life.
Are our morals so thinly constructed that we so easily give up our values to the homosexual counter-culture? I think not. Homosexuals are not politically correct. Far from it.

Why isn't this mayor in jail for openly breaking the law?
Ya know........

Because in Californicate the Judges are just as wackey as
they are en Mass.-and New York-and Elsewhere.Even the Rino
Gov. of Californicate supports homosexual lifestyle and
marriage. SO long as the Judge have the Congress helping them the law enforcers will do what the pols want. And the
rest of us will be packin' fudge.
Do wish the mere politicians would get off their thumbs and
pass the FMA without any more jackass debate.LEt the people
of these United States vote up or down on it before the
queer Court can screw us all
