Rendell is up in '06 he'll need to be worried about his own skin, and a possible VP nomination for himself as well. PA's electoral votes are important as we all know, and as a blue governor and former DNC head( the last one to win anything I believe) Rendell would be attractive as a VP or possible cabinet member. He might lose some votes if the public thinks he'd be leaving anyways, lose votes to a former fan favorite(Swann), lose black votes, lose young votes, lose moderate votes (thanks to the "Kook Kluck Klan"). Not to mention the property tax reform we've been waiting for that was going to be the first thing he did in office. Rendell knows it too, he's floating the possibility of tax cuts to PA corporations. Writing on the wall?

Much as I despise her politics, I would still do to Tina Fey what Keith Moon did to Drums (before he destroyed them, of course).

I believe his parents were living in Fieldston (VERY wealthy area) when little Elliot was spawned. It aint like he's from Hunt's Point or Jerome Avenue.

Reminds me of a friend I had who bragged about being from Brooklyn (made him "tough"). I always would bring him down by reminding him that he was from BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, not East New York.

Rudy Giussolini the corrupt RINO a--hole is damaged good after the Kerick affair. Polls don't mean sh-t. Remember all those polls talking about how Powell would be an ideal GOP nominee, while Bush would go down against Gore. I also believe, btw, that Hillary may not even be the nominee.

I swear, some of the NY Post reading extra chromosome schlubs have such an obsession with beating "Hillary" that they would sell our parties principles down the river by nominating a cross-dressing, big spending, gun grabbing, baby killing, gay loving, blue state LOSER like Ruina Giussolini. What is SO GREAT about Rudy anyway besides being "tough on crime?" What great initiatives did he put in as Mayor. Let him prove himself as GOVERNOR first!

BTW: George Allen/Condi Rice in 2008.

Tina Fey???? Because she makes fun of the prez on SNL?

Agreed. I love Tina Fey. I would not vote for her or her candidates but that's not the relationship we have.

The least offensive is Osama Obama.

ANYBODY that wants to take my guns is offensive. This man "appears" to be solemn, but beware of those in sheeps clothing.

The sheep's clothing is coming off of Sen Bayh to reveal his true objectives, which I feel is not related to representing the people of Indiana. He is honed in on Pennsylvania Ave. Problem is he has pulled that wool right over many, many eyes in this red state.

"that's two liberals with underworld criminal connections.".. Pretty sad commentary of what the Democratic Party has come to.

not really sad, they've got to hit bottom, before they can recover.

Santorum is a bad call.

This guy is a real "empty suit."

The Rendell voter fraud machine will take out Santorum in '06

Please. Voter fraud makes a difference, but not that much. Santorum won comfortably when Gore won the state in 2000.

I blame the GOP.

Of course you do.

He may have many flaws, but he is not an empty suit.

Dear Abby

Please help me. My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning, and when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows he cheats on me. It is so humiliating.

Also, since he lost his job four years ago he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does is smoke cigars and cruise around and chitchatting with his pals, while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like me and hints that I am a lesbian.

What should I do?

Signed, Clueless

Dear Clueless:

Grow up and dump him. For Pete's sake, you don't need him anymore. You're a United States Senator from New York, act like it.

Evan Bayh "used to be" seen as a moderate until he voted AGAINST Condi Rice.

He's toast, IMO.
