Mercifully, November 2 was a rousing success. That being said, let's not get complacent and rest on our laurels. Keep on your toes, Freepers.

The least offensive is Osama Obama. The rest are evil swine.

I see a Clinton/Bayh demonratic ticket in 2008.
Opposed by a Rice/Santorum? A win in PA in '06 by Santorum, coupled with an '06 PA gubernatorial win by Lynn Swann could put my state back in the red.

Ssssh! It's ok for Ted Kennedy to say that, but not us!
(I guess that makes Ted Kennedy the first black senator from Massachusetts...)

* * * Eliot Spitzer New York state attorney general # Born: June 12, 1959, Bronx, N.Y. # Resides: Manhattan, N.Y. # Significance: High-profile corporate crime buster is leading Democrat candidate for governor of New York. Since taking office in 1999, Spitzer has aggressively probed white-collar crime on Wall Street. Prosecuted Midwest power companies for alleged pollution (appeasing environmentalists) and businesses for supposedly violating workers' rights (appeasing labor unions). # Quotable: "I bring people together whether they like it or not and we tackle complex problems--not with Band-Aid solutions, but with major reform and real change. We did it in the financial industry and other sectors and we can do it in government." (Announcing his gubernatorial candidacy, Dec. 7, 2004)clinton reborn in NY.
On a side note, welcome to FR even though you've been here since November. I checked you're home page and you're a young breath of fresh air. Make sure (within reason) your brother follows in your footsteps. See you on the board! b4

I'm with you. Let people who get their 'news' from SNL be raised into moonbats...we've got bigger fish to fry than a really un-funny show (that goes for Jon Stewart, too).
BTW, Camille Paglia doesn't like tha Daily Show - she says it discourages people from being serious about being informed. I think she's got a point.

If you want to be trampled to death, get between a microphone and mini-moron, power-mad Elliot Spitzer. He is single handedly destroying tens of thousands of high-paying financial service industry jobs in NY.

Just a little story if you'll allow... Actually, you really have no choice, but I digress...
When this Obama guy was running, and his name appeared in some headlines of posts, I posted something to a thread to the effect.... "Every time I see that in a headline I think Osama bin Laden" and I got my behind chewed by someone. I could probably take the time and find out who it was, but who cares. I thought I was just being honest and got my butt chewed...... but really, now that I got that off my chest, I'm over it.

I was just getting ready to mention Bredesen. He's being talked about more and more. The New Republic ran that recent piece on him which was very complimentary. Tom Sullivan was even talking about him today. But he's so low key that maybe he gets overlooked for this kind of list. The Obama types have more starpower.

Harold Ickes IS a former mob lawyer. With Bing, that's two liberals with underworld criminal connections.
