Sen. John Kerry reiterated his pledge on Monday to sign the form that would allow the government to release all his military records, but said he wanted to know exactly what was in his file before doing so.
"I have a stack of different material they sent me," Kerry told radio host Don Imus. "Every time they send me something I want to know what they sent me."
"I'll get it done," Kerry insisted in the next breath.
Last week the 2008 presidential hopeful suggested he wanted to review his full Navy file to make sure of "what is in the record and what isn't in the record" before signing Form 180.
"I'm going to sit down with them and make sure that they are clear and I am clear as to what is in the record and what isn't in the record and we'll put it out," he told "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert.
Kerry did not explain his reference to "what isn't in the record," though questions arose late in the campaign about why he received his honorable discharge six years after leaving the service.
Pressed earlier today on when he intended to sign Form 180, Kerry said only, "Shortly."
The full exchange went like this:
IMUS: You also told Tim that you would sign Form 180 releasing all of your military records. Have you done that?
KERRY: Yeah. We're gonna do that. Absolutely, I will. But listen, I also think ...
IMUS: When are you going to do that?
KERRY: As soon as I get, as required by the military, precisely ...
IMUS: Why don't you do it today?
KERRY; Because I have a stack of different material they sent me. Every time they send me something I want to know what they sent me. I'll get it done. ...
IMUS: By noon today?
KERRY: No. But shortly. [END OF EXCERPT]

Sounds like the stuff that he'll release will be the stuff he has already released. Why he is worried about what is in his record....oh yeah, I forgot.
To: dzzrtrock
but said he wanted to know exactly what was in his file before doing so. And why shoud that matter???
If you served honorably, Mr. Kerry, then you shouldn't have anything to fear.
I am not a politician, but if I were, I wouldn't mind releasing all of my military records.... I bet most vets feel the same way.

He now has a totally manufactured record, so he needs to eliminate anything that would point to the fact it is embellished and a outright lie.
He cannot sign the release until he has purged his files of anything that conflicts.

I think this is extraordinary news.
This is the second instance of the MSM picking up the SF-180 story. I am amazed, frankly, that they are doing it. I thought they would always try to protect one of their own. But here they are (the other was Russert) bringing out the SF-180 issue, which had been relegated (I thought, clearly incorrectly) to conservative forums such as FR.
The only other explanation is that they are now working for she who must not be named. (grin)

I'm not an Imus fan for a number of reasons, but I do like it that he doesn't just accept B.S. answers from anyone.

Senator Kerry has a 'Values' hotline where he's asking people to tell him what issues matter to them so that he can speak up for America.
The phone number for F'ing's 'Values' hotline is: 1-866-876-4490.
Once again, that TOLL FREE number is: 1-866-876-4490
So you don't forget now, that TOLL FREE number is: 1-866-876-4490
I'm sure he would be happy to hear from anyone who has a concern about values. Values being, well, like honesty and, um, integrity. Maybe some folks would like F'ing to share with us all some more details about his military service. You know, like maybe sign the FORM 180 so his complete service record can be made public. After all, Senator John F. Kerry gave his word that he would sign the FORM 180 so we can be sure he'll keep his word. Maybe he's just waiting for some encouragement from his friends...
Once again, that TOLL FREE number is: 866-876-4490. If calling him @ 1-866-876-4490 is incovenient, you could also try his office and residence numbers found here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1337008/posts?page=12#12

Either that or they are now on the "anybody but Kerry" campaign for 2008. They'd be wise to get him out of the picture as soon as possible.....and I'd be happy to never hear or see him again, ever.
To: dzzrtrock
He cannot get away with this for another 3 1/2 years. Certainly, Hillary will expose what he will not allow us to see.

"This is the first meeting of the Kerry for President Committee 2008," Kennedy declared
as Kerry and his wife, Teresa, looked on.
In a meeting earlier in the day with Herald editors and reporters, Kennedy predicted Kerry would be an even more formidable candidate if he runs again in four years.

Q) Why does the US Senate allow a traitor access
to top secret US intelligence data
BUT does not have access to the traitors
FULL military records?
What do US Senators know about Form 180
and why Hanoi Kerry won't sign it?

Don't be a CINO (Conservative in Name Only)
Don't listen to CINO's in politics,

EXPOSE the traitor for what he really is, The Enemy Within.
Don't listen to CINO's who want to "move on".
And tell you "get over it Kerry lost"
"Kerry is finished."
He's NOT finished!
And remember this.
All it will take is for Clinton to have more problems with her health
to guarantee that Kerry WILL run in '08.

Col. Geo. "Bud" Day Medal of Honor Vietnam POW 1967-1973 USMC - USA Attorney 1949-2004-
Dear Joe: The major issue in the Swiftboat stories is, and always has been,
what John Kerry did in 1971 after he returned from Vietnam.
Kerry cast a long dark shadow over all Vietnam Veterans with his outright perjury before the Senate concerning atrocities in Vietnam. His stories to the Senate committee were absolute lies.. fabrications.. perjury.. fantasies, with NO substance. That dark shadow has defamed the entire Vietnam War veteran population, and gave "Aid and Comfort" to our enemies..the Vietnamese Communists. Kerry's stories were outright fabrications, and were intended for political gain with the radical left..McGovern, Teddy and Bobby Kennedy followers, Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, and the radical left who fantasized that George McGovern was going to be elected in 1972. Little wonder that returning soldiers from Vietnam were spit upon and castigated as "baby killers".
A returned war hero said so.
Kerry cut a dashing figure as a war hero, lots of medals, and returned home because of multiple war wounds..even a silver star. His Senate testimony confirmed what every hippie had been chanting on the streets.."Hey hey LBJ..How many kids did you kill today"?????
He obviously was running for political office in 1971.
Until Lt. John O' Neil, himself a Swifboat commander, spoke out before the 1972 elections against Kerry's outright deceptions, there was no one from the Swiftboat scene that could contradict Kerry's self serving lies.
I was a POW of the Vietnamese in Hanoi in 1971, and I am aware that the testimony of John Kerry, the actions of Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden, and the radical left; all caused the commies to conclude that if they hung on..they would win. North Vietnamese General Bui Tin commented that every day the Communist leadership listened to world news over the radio to follow the growth of the anti-war movement. Visits to Hanoi by Jane Fonda and Ramsey Clark gave them confidence to hold in the face of battlefield reverses.
The guts of it was that propaganda from the anti-war group was part of their combat strategy.
While the Commies were hanging on, innumerable U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Air Foce members were being killed in combat.
Every battle wound to Americans after Kerry's misdirected testimony is related to Kerry's untruthfulness.
John Kerry contributed to every one of these deaths with his lies about U.S. atrocities in Vietnam.

He likewise defamed the U.S. with our allies and supporters.
His conduct also extended the imprisonment of the Vietnam Prisoners of War, of which I was one.
I am certain of at least one POW death after his testimony,
which might have been prevented with an earlier release of the POWs.
I draw a direct comparison of General Benedict Arnold of the Revolutionary War, to Lieutenant John Kerry. Both went off to war, fought, and then turned against their country. General Arnold crossed over to the British for money and position. John Kerry crossed over to the Vietnamese with his assistance to the anti-war movement, and his direct liason with the Vietnamese diplomats in Paris.
His reward. Political gain. Senator..United States.
Without question,
we were held captive longer
because of the anti-war people,
the Kerrys, the Fondas and Haydens,
the names we knew over there -
they encouraged the enemy to hang on.

This is newsmax, not the msm. The quote is preposterous, as is Kerry. This filthy left wing scum bag ran for president on his military record and called his fellow combat veterans "liars" while he stonewalls the release of his own military record. A creep like this shouldn't run your local dog pound.

What I find disturbing is the amount of attention the MSM is still giving this loser. Kerry should be shoved back under the bed and ignored. Imus is only feeding this jackass's ego. Giving Kerry a soapbox is just rewarding failure.

I'm sorry, I missed that. Could you repeat that number again.

I'll bet all his service records will show up in kerned Times New Roman variable width font, with superscripts.
