Great! We've resolved the issue. Piper stays with Poppa and Nana and the big kids move to Phoenix.
I'm glad we could resolve this one for you.
And people think the Canteen is all about silliness. Hehe!
Well Jinx I guess this means I have rummage through my woodworking parts catalogs for where to get crib parts, huh!
Does Lord of the Rings count as a Scifi movie? I loved that movie.
I love sci-fi..er.. science fiction... just too many favorites to list.
Brad has the biggest bedroom in this house and doesn't mind a BIT gloating about it!
Oh yeah!!!! Dang that's gotta hurt.
I would count it as one, but that's just me. Who cares if someone disagrees. I would count it.
Have you seen the Extended versions of the trilogy?
Wow!! They left a lot out!!
I know what you mean.
After reading other posts, I have definitely left out many other favorites.
We can only hope that little Kimmy will be so despondent that he will commit suicide (by his own hand or not)! And what is it with his sister? Did she just find it necessary to leave home before she "disappeared"?
Favorite All Time Sciece Fiction Show?:
The Original "Outer Limits". A terrific, B&W, 1960s weekly series that emphasized characters and plot over Special Effects. A great template for young film students and buffs to study in regards to "Less Means More" and the use of shadow and music to heighten suspense.
Favorite Episodes: "The Demon With A Glass Hand", "Architechs Of Fear", "The Zanti Misfits", "The Chameleon", "O.B.I.T", "The Sixth Finger", "The Inheritors", "The Hundred Days Of The Dragon", "Controlled Experiment', A Feasibilty Study", "The Man Who Was Never Born".
Second Favorite Series: "Babylon-5". Great writing, cast, plot, charcaters. Superb Special Effects. Light years ahead of "STNG", "DS-9" and "Voyager".
Favorite Sci~Fi Films:
"The Thing From Another World": A Who's Who of B-Actor talent turn in their best work and create the Classic "Red Scare/Sci~Fi Film. The Yardstick by which other films are measured. Nothing can touch it for dialogue and creepy claustrophobia!
"The Invasion Of The Body Snatchers": The original with Kevin McCarthy still holds its own today.
"Aliens": What "Alien" should have been. Instead of a high priced rip-off of "It! The Terror From Beyond Space". Inter-Galactic Marines kick a$$ and take names on a far off planet.
Early David Cronenberg: From "They Came From Within" to "Rabid", "The Brood" to "Scanners". Though "The Brood" is the most frightening.
Jack.
battlestar gallactica has to many Bush slams in it. I couldn't stomach watching it anymore. The most notable one was when the 'president' was saying how we all make mistakes even presidents make mistakes but the test of real leadership is to live up to the mistake (it was obvious she was talking about WMD in Iraq, because the statements really didn't fit the plot of the show.)
Well... the wife is gonna kill me but I guess I better pick this up!
My own personal favorite has to be The Twilight Zone. I remember when I was a kid in San Diego I would try to watch it when it was on KTLA. I also think that Night Gallery is a very underrated series. And I happen to like the new Battlestar Galactica; I think Adama is a very Bush-esque character even though Edward James Olmos is a lib.
Hmmmm...maybe that was it. There was also The Brain That Would Not Die. Worst movie I ever saw, but the part where the monster tears the mad scientists' arm off gave me nightmares. It's the only movie that ever did. Can't imagine why.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I'm heating the oven and gonna bake my Sausage and Egg Casserole.
Golf Oscar Oscar Delta
Juliet Oscar Bravo
Good Job
Yes, The Twilight Zone is the best! They used to give me nightmares when I was a kid! And most of the time you just couldn't know how they were going to end!
Doctor Phibes, anyone? I LOVE Vincent Price!
