Armed Homes Are Safe Homes
GOPUSA ^ | 2-7-05 | Doug Patton

Posted on 02/07/2005 10:35:31 AM PST by FlyLow

Recently, three young criminals in Omaha were looking for a home to rob. Their criteria included an interesting condition. Pointing to a particular target, a townhouse in the northwest part of town, one person told them, "That house has no guns."

Armed home owners are safer. You can't arm a home.

That's why I keep a .45 Colt auto next to my bed. A habit I developed in Soc Trang.

I like to aqsk anti-gun typesz if they have a fire extinguisher in their homes. Then I ask them why? It usually gets my point across simply and effectively.

I keep the .45 auto in my Jeep. I keep a Remington 870 12ga under the bed. The sound of the raking of the slide will make most street vermin run, and if not the 00 buck will be ample to protect my family.

"SNIP"

And since Nebraska has no concealed carry law, they could be fairly certain that none of the residents would have one on their person, either.

Shortly before noon last November 11, the three punks (all of whom did have guns, of course) broke into the townhouse, demanded money and ordered residents to the floor. During a struggle in the hallway, all three intruders fired their guns, killing Trevor Lee, a 23-year-old aspiring stock market analyst.

The only person arrested in the case so far, 20-year-old Ryan Poe, has said that he and his buddies went to the townhouse with the intention of committing a robbery, and fired their weapons at a man who fought back. Apparently, Trevor Lee was that brave man. Brave, but unarmed.

A rottweiller or two, a handgun and or a 12 gauge is an awful lot of security for the money....

He's the worst anti in the GOP.

Booby trapped and armed are a little different. A minefield is booby trapped but is it armed. Seems being armed would required the armed person or thing to make a decision in the use of armament ; )

Any unannounced-unwelcome-guests in my home will be greeted with a 9mm Glock. And I just hate the thought of cleaning up my floor from an intruder's soiled pants after s/he hears the chambering of a round coming from somewhere in the darkness.....

I remember a few years back reading a story on line from some paper, of a family whose house was invaded by four vermin. This was you standard home inavasion robbery. But with one hitch, the family had a side business of raising and training german shepards. 4 Vermin, 6 german shepards you do the math. Kibble anyone?
