JUST FOR TODAY

As I go through some "troubles" in my own life, I've worked out this "formula" to help me be a useful and happy person. See if it doesn't work for you!

JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be happy. I will assume to be true what Abraham Lincoln said: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."

JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don't want to do just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything, and not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have lt. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a quiet half hour all by myself. During this half hour, I will try and get a better perspective of my life.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give back to me.

You and I (AND MA!) know the Rams will do it. Ma's just trying to make one of our soldiers feel better! LOL!

Bad calls seem to be the norm any more--either that or throwing out the yellow flag on every other play...but I agree; it was a good game anyway.

I actually thought that it was going to be Patriots Eagles in the 2001/2002 season Super Bowl.

Did you know that only Boston teams have beat St. Louis teams in all 4 major league sports championships? No other city has accomplished that over another city's teams.

NBA Celtics beat the St. Louis Hawks in the NBA finals. 1957

NHL Bruins beat the Blues in the Stanley Cup finals. 1970

NFL Patriots beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. 2002

MLB Red Sox beat the Cardinals in the World Series. 2004

I have to tell you, I fell in love with the Pats when they played against the Rams--seems like they just play the game forthright and they seemed to bring out the best in the Rams.
Ideally I would love to see them play each other every year--

We aren't even going to go there (Red Sox) yet, Radix! It was
a double-edged sword here. We of course wanted to win but knew how badly the Red Sox fans wanted it too so couldn't really build up any animosity, not like what we have for the mets. I won't tell you their local nickname in case some fans, who are probably very decent people, are reading this.

Yeah and don't they look goofy and lost sometimes? I wonder if they do that to get air time.

THAT'S the word I was looking for, befuddled. Yes they do...I don't understand it--but that describes it to a tee. I mean, they act like it's their first game and it appears that they wait for the fans to start making noise before they actually act on a call. Or how do you like it when the flags start getting thrown like rice at a wedding? It's like one does it, another sees it, and then everybody jumps in to cover themselves!

Yeah, give the fans their own penalty flags to throw! That would be great!

I don't see the ad on the site (http://dyn.ifilm.com/superbowlads/). Was it a Busch ad?

The Bud Clydesdale Zoo ad is cute.

The ST LOUIS Rams used to be mine!! They used to be the LOS ANGELES Rams. I grew up with the Fearsome Foursome.
