That is not what the judge ruled. He said if there is a revote, it will be conducted in November and Gregoire will have to step down until the revote. the Lt. gov would be the Governor until November. I think this ruling will be changed by the state SC. All in all, a great day for Rossi.

THe court has the power to nullify the vote, and to vacate the seat.
The state has remedies for filling that seat in the mean time and that has nothing to do with judges.

The Queers, Hippies, and Queer Hippies... I can imagine the riot now - all color-coordinated, and just oozing with fashion-consciousness...

Did the judge nullify the vote or are we waiting for a decision?

I thought he ruled in favor of the last motion, which struck the re-vote relief from the petition.
If there is another election, it will not be a re-vote, it will be a new election. As I said, no re-vote.
But I could be wrong. I was distracted by the judge's earring. LOL.

Judge says he does not believe "he has the authority to grant a revote" ....which means this case will now go, permitting support from Republican's, to the WA State Supreme Court!

There's a general election every year. The vacancy would be filled in November 2005.
To: CAluvdubya
WHAT?? You mean after all the slap downs and the RATS still win a victory...HUH?? Was the FIX IN?? UUUUGGGGHHH, that's what I get for having a bit of hope that maybe a WA judge would be fair...oh well.

I guess I don't get it, BUT if this judge was considered a fair and no nonsense type of dude behind that black robe, I'm afraid the NEXT judge won't take kindly to the ROSSI case!
