You mean the state would have the lt governor as acting governor until the next general election...in 2006?

There's a general election every year. The vacancy would be filled in November 2005.

If that is what the Washington state law says is the remedy, yes!

I don't know if that is what the state laws says though.

Anyone know the bottom line on that issue?
