I agree she's crazy. I couldn't believe how she started out how she respected the court's right to remove a guy with a cell phone, but that the court cannot rule for a revote.

I think it means that Arnie gets to appoint a successorPresumably, that's a positive thing. But why did he/she/it resign in the first place?

CA SoS Shelley (D) took federal "Get out the vote" money and used it for partisan Democrat campaigning, plus other personal uses. He also blows up in meetings, berates staffers, etc. State legislature called him to testify and he sent an aide instead. Legislature was about to subpoena him to compel him to appear. Rumors were that he wanted amnesty and a promised job elsewhere if he were to step down. He resigned this afternoon, probably without any of the guarantees that he asked for.

She doesn't have good bow-hunting, numchuck, nor computer-hacking skills. LOL!

Dog this female lawyer for their side is being extremely arrogant, starting out by telling the judge he doesn't have the power to order a re-vote and she continues bemoaning the possabilities of a re-vote, stating all the reasons why we should not have a re-vote...cost, when, will there be a primary...in other words, digging for every excuse possible. Now she is aserting that the court is acting as if it has some broad equitable power...blah blah.....
I suspect the judge is going to whack her good....at least he should..she about ready to close...

Can someone please fill me in on what has been happening? Well it's like watching grass grow, but with sound. It's dull as can be, and I keep nodding off doing a face plant on my keyboard.

This goes to show you that there is nothing an attorney wouldn't say; no matter how stupid it might be.
You can tell that even she is embarassed. A smart attorney woud have told her associates, "You make that B. S. argument, because I'm not going to do it."
To: HannaUSA
I can't believe she would say that?

Dems motion on venue - meaning that it shouldn't be heard in Chelan Count, that it should be heard only in the Supreme Court or another county - DISMISSED!Let's face it: if the Court rules in favor of overturning the election results, the challenge will go to the state supreme court. Still, I suppose it must be more advantageous for repubs to hear the case in that specific court, or they wouldn't be fighting for it.

Leaving aside this case, more lawyers need to be willing to say that to judges.
"No, Justice Ginsburg, you don't have the power to overrule state law without a clear Constitutional warrant."

Now, the Republican lawyer is saying it is too soon to talk about remedy when the evidence hasn't even been presented yet!

ok question here. If dems lose today, then they go to state supremes for appeal? And what is the makeup of that court?
