17 wards have at least 100 more votes than voters; 2 miss by over 500

Record-keeping surrounding the Nov. 2 presidential election in Milwaukee is so flawed that in 17 wards there were at least 100 more votes recorded than people listed by the city as voting there.... In two wards, one on the south side and one on the north side, the gap is more than 500, with fewer than half the votes cast in each ward accounted for in the city's computer system, a Journal Sentinel review has found.

What was the margin for Kerry in WI? Around 12,000, is the number I'm remembering.

It's time to go back to indelible ink here in the U.S.

I think that's a Fabulous Idea. So much for Vote early and vote often. THis would be vote once period. I like it!

110% voter turnout in Milwaulke? That's quite good. No Democrat voter fraud there, no sir-ee!

Voter ink is a good idea, but Republicans need only dip their pinky finger in the ink, while Democrats should have their entire face painted in it.

Voter ID with a national database is the only hope.

The Socialists in the house and senate would scream that it violates our civil rights.

IMHO:

The simpler a solution is to design and implement, the better it works.

Inking the finger is about as simple as you can get.

Clearly, there would be some folks who would search high and low for some solvent to dissolve (without damage to your skin) the ink, but by and large this simple method is quite effective in ensuring one person, one vote.

"Purple finger for a couple of weeks? I hope not."

Call it a badge of honor. Looks like the Iraqi's treat it so. Perhaps we (collectively) have a thing or two to learn from them......

I'll admit to being a little surprised at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for actually making the effort to call attention to the rampant voter fraud found in the inner city here. After all, their editors endorsed John Kerry.

I wonder how the criminal apologist Eugene Kane is going to spin this . . .

How does the purple finger solve the massive fraud of those voting ahead of time?

Would those who stuff ballot boxes with hundreds of ballots without voters have to ink their entire arms? Voter ID and ink only solve "retail" vote fraud. They do nothing to stop "wholesale" vote fraud.

Maybe we need optically scanned ballots with a continually displayed and timestamped tally of the number of ballots scanned. Everyone could see the total number of ballots cast at all time so it will be harder to add ballots before voting starts or after it ends, and the paper ballots themselves would serve as the backup for verification of counts.

Wonder if nail polisher remover would work. Doubt a lot of that is floating around Iraq (not like they would use it right now if it was).

The way to deal with it all is magnetically striped, photographic voter ID cards. Run the card through the machine when the voter votes, making it invalid for any more votes, anywhere, during that election.

Wear a glove or a bandage if the color clashes with your pantsuit.

HA!!
Splashed across the front page in 50pt bold, eh? :o)

"After all, their editors endorsed John Kerry."

And that means exactly what?

"I wonder how the criminal apologist Eugene Kane is going to spin this..."

How the painfully stupid ignoramuses always spins Liberal-Socialist corruption, sloppily but surely.
And his legions will *gobble* it up like hungry sows at the trough, too.

Wanna know how you'll know his crap worked?
You'll *feel* spun. ;^)

OBTW, working on EMA #23.

...today. :^)

If Master Charge and Visa can track millions of highly varied financial transactions and keep track of how millions of card holders are approaching or not approaching their credit limits, it should be a relatively simple matter to develop a voter ID card system where each voter's card is run through an ID machine to allow him or her to vote and is then automatically invalidated for further voting in that election.
