17 wards have at least 100 more votes than voters; 2 miss by over 500

Record-keeping surrounding the Nov. 2 presidential election in Milwaukee is so flawed that in 17 wards there were at least 100 more votes recorded than people listed by the city as voting there.... In two wards, one on the south side and one on the north side, the gap is more than 500, with fewer than half the votes cast in each ward accounted for in the city's computer system, a Journal Sentinel review has found.

"How does the purple finger solve the massive fraud of those voting ahead of time?"

Vote at the appointed time and place.

For absentee ballots, Have that recorded in a LOCAL absentee ballot DB.

And that means exactly what?

It means precisely, my good man, that I've become quite cynical in my old age. I see nothing but corruption and glad-handing as the order of the day in the political landscape around here. I am flummoxed by this unabashedly liberal rag pointing a magnifying glass and a jaundiced eye at the very mechanism that led this state to their favored candidate. So to myself I wonder; why are they doing this? What is their motive?

But Mayor Barrett says that despite these findings there is still no evidence of voter fraud. Surely we can believe the words of our newly elected democrat mayor.

I wonder how the criminal apologist Eugene Kane is going to spin this . . .

The same way he spins everything: It's a racist plot. Man, I envy him, his column must be so easy to write, with one explanation for ever social phenomenon.

Imagine the lawsuits from people claiming allergic reactions to the purple dye. Or those offended by the color purple.

It's time to go back to indelible ink here in the U.S.

Absolutely.

To vote in the Iraqi election, you needed to show an ID and do the purple finger thing. In Wisconsin, none of that is required, but you do have to show photo ID to take a book out of the Milwaukee library system and to use the twon dump in most municipalities.

It would take the Democrats 10 seconds to start screaming, "Allergies! Allergies! I'm allergic to indelible ink! There must be an alternative for those of us suffering from these horrible allergies!" And whatever the allergy loophole might be, the Democrats would manage to "find" some uncounted votes whenever they needed them.

Ok. Develop hypoallergenic indelible ink.

Actually, I would really be amused to hear their lame lamentations of their ludicrous lot.

These same democrats have 60% of their bodies covered in tatoos.

"It means precisely, my good man, that I've become quite cynical in my old age."

Cynical about *politics*?
No kiddin'?
Well face it.
Was bound to happen sooner or later, my friend. {g}

"I see nothing but corruption and glad-handing as the order of the day in the political landscape around here."

Well y'know what I think about Milwaukee & the crooked micks running that town, and now in the Governor's mansion in Madison, right?
Truth is I sincerely believes if it weren't for corruption -- of one form or another -- nothing would get done in the nation or any of her states.
Answer this: who do you know who can afford to be *honest*, anymore?
Dat be da nature o' da times we live, bucko. :o)

"I am flummoxed by this unabashedly liberal rag pointing a magnifying glass and a jaundiced eye at the very mechanism that led this state to their favored candidate."

Why flummoxed, Mr.G?
It's "news" and that's *how* they sell their rags -- you bought one, right?
The Urinal "makes" news going in & coming out and all the hungry li'l folks eat 'er right up.
The Milw Urinal meets & often exceeds my every expectation of the quisling mediots & are often at the very forefront of the headlong dive into societal fecal matter.

"So to myself I wonder; why are they doing this? What is their motive?"

Whoaaaa now that's a tough one, but lemme take a stab at it anyway.
*Money* in all its derivative form? ;^)

I'll tell ya about some Milw chutzpah I personally witnessed that went well beyond anyone's wildest imagination concerning the tire slashing scandal.
Was watching the Milw Fox affiliate -- formerly WITI 6 ~ABC? -- and their TV cameras were right there in the courtroom covering the thug's arraignment.
The moronic talking head says the court had to decide whether there was *sufficient* evidence to proceed with a trial against these clowns, right?

Then the camera pans to the defendant's table at which are seated the miscreants, and outa all the black guys seated one's a white kid -- truly a dork among dorks playing jester to the clown -- & guess on *who* Fox's camera focuses?

Yea.

...gotta love it, Bro'.

I used marking dyes in my machine shop work. All you need to do is apply 3M's Invisible Glove handcream to your finger/hand and the dye will wash right off in soap and water, never staining the skin.

So would I. But one thing we can count on, some huge portion of liberal voters would be "disenfranchised" by indelible ink.

Thanks for posting this article. Charlie Sykes discussed this a lot this AM. I sat in a training class for poll workers yesterday and the trainer told us that if a voter comes in and refuses to provide ID that we have to let him/her vote -- no matter what state election law requires.

I pointed out that my daughter who moved to NY this summer had to provide TEN POINTS of ID to get registered. A photo ID driver's license was worth two. She had to come up with her birth certificate and marriage license to prove citizenship and change of name, for instance. Our trainer thought that was terrible and actually said that we in Wisconsin are very "lucky" that our election law is so liberal. I kid you not!

I say that the election law in Wisconsin is BROKEN. We must demand photo ID and an end to same day registration.

You also have to show a photo ID to ENTER Sam's Club or to work out at the YMCA.

Ooh, I had forgotten that! Yeah, my wife had to get a student photo ID just to use the YMCA gym on her campus!

Dig this: You have to show a scuba certification card just to get a tank filled at most dive shops. Some won't sell you certain pieces of equipment unless you can produce a cert card. But the right to vote...that's too much to ask...

The way to deal with it all is magnetically striped, photographic voter ID cards. Run the card through the machine when the voter votes, making it invalid for any more votes, anywhere, during that election

yep.

There are solvents to remove the ink - and you can betcha all supplies would be - maybe already are, as a hedge - bought up by the demorats

Wear a glove or a bandage if the color clashes with your pantsuit.

I have not reached the age where I have a pantsuit for each day of the week. I do remember some old timers who thought it was just dandy to pull on a one piece pantsuit with a zipper up to their necks. No worry about choice or matching colors or plain vs plaid. Makes me wonder if your 'fashion sense' becomes dull as you age. Which reminds me...you are not being complimentary, are you.
